June 1938: Superman and Lois Lane first meet.
May 1939: Batman and Commissioner Gordon begin their war on crime.
June 1939: Ultra-Humanite is defeated by Superman.
January 1940: Hawkman appears in Midway City.
February 1940: Captain Marvel battles Dr. Sivana.
March 1940: Hourman first appears.
April 1940: Lex Luthor moves against Superman as The Joker surfaces.
May 1940: Dr. Fate saves his future wife from an evil wizard.
July 1940: Alan Scott becomes the first Green Lantern of Earth.
November 1940: The Justice Society of America is formed.
April 1941: Dr. Midnite avenges himself.
August 1941: Aquaman and Plastic Man are first sighted.
November 1941: Green Arrow starts out in Star City, Jimmy Olsen begins work at the Daily Planet, and Vigilante avenges his family.
December 1941: Wonder Woman enters Man's World to help the Allies.
January 1942: Wildcat exonerates his alter-ego.
August 1942: Two-Face manifests after a trial incident.
Fall 1943: Cheetah appears after a run-in with Wonder Woman.
October 1944: Mr. Mxyzptlk turns his attention to Earth.
1945: The Losers are appointed to a rescue operation in the Pacific.
September 2, 1945: World War II is won by the Allies.
August 1947: Black Canary appears in Gotham City.
October 1947: Gentleman Ghost focuses on Hawkman.
Spring 1948: Hal Jordan sneaks onto Edwards Air Force Base.
October 1948: The Riddler challenges Batman.
1951: The House on Un-American Activities ends the JSA.
1951: Argent and Suicide Squad are formed to fill the void.
May 1952: Hourman falls to his alleged death.
July 27, 1953: Colonel Ace Morgan and Airman Hal Jordan are attacked at MiG Alley.
1955: Superman finds Wonder Woman in Cambodia and Martian Manhunter is teleported to Earth.
October 1956: Barry Allen survives a lightning bolt and is interviewed by Iris West.
1957: Russia launches Sputnik, Batman confronts a cult, Ted Grant wins a boxing match in Las Vegas, Captain Cold is defeated once again by the Flash and a group of four survive a horrifying crash in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. They become Challengers of the Unknown. Hal Jordan is hired by Carol Ferris.
1958: John Henry attacks Ku Klux Klan members in Knoxville, Tennessee.
June 21, 1958: The Suicide Squad loses one of their own, Hugh Evans, while fighting a prehistoric monster in New York City.
July 1958: Speedy debuts as Green Arrow's partner.
Late 1958: Superman and Wonder Woman are honored in Washington DC, Hal Jordan is briefed on Project Flying Cloud under the California desert, John Jones reads a cult's codex and Argent fails to capture the Flash.
December 1958: Adam Strange is teleported to the planet Rann.
1959: Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris double date with Ace Morgan and June Robbins at Coast City Motorama auto show.
January 1960: John Henry is memoralized on television, John Jones meets Harry Lieter, Operation Flying Cloud fails, the Centre passes through Paradise Island and settles near Cape Canaveral. A combined military and super hero contingent defeat it.
February 1960: Aqualad and Aquaman team up. The Flash and Kid Flash team up.
March 1960: The JLA fights Starro in the Mediterranean.
April 1962: The Metal Men are created.
June 1962: Dr. Light turns to crime.
October 1962: Carol Ferris is hypnotized into becoming Star Sapphire.
June 1963: The Doom Patrol is formed.
July 1964: The Teen Titans are formed.
December 1964: Metamorpho goes after his maker, Simon Stagg.
September 1967: Black Manta starts his quest for power.
December 1970: Darkseid shifts his search for the Anti-Life Equation to Earth.
June 1971: Ra's al Ghul makes an offer to Batman.
