There is something that puts fans on one side of the line in the sand: continuity. But I think I've come up with a better solution, straight from the comics and good ol' theoritical physics: the Multiverse idea. Basically, you start off with one Multiverse which is the collective of all multiverses. Within each multiverse you have your own continuity as well as your parallel universes and hyper timelines. With that said, DCAUResource.com is proud to trudge on and add more and more content to the website for your perusal. In layman's terms here is my view of the DCAU:
Modern DC Animated Multiverse
There's parallel universes such as the one where Lex Luthor teamed up with Superman ("Brave New Metropolis"), the Justice Guild universe and the Justice Lords universes. There are hyper timelines like the one where Savage ruled the world or when Superman jumped 5000 years to the future when he 'died.'
