I admire the works that led to the surge of modern DC Animated Multiverses. I have been watching Bruce Timm and company's animated series ever since Batman: The Animated Series premiered when I was about seven years old. Opposed to most fans, I was never a big comic book reader. It was the work of people like Bruce Timm that made me interested in the history of comic books and to this day I tread the line and selectively indulge in the works of preferred writers and artists. However, I find it easier to sit in front of a screen and watch pictures move and listen to words than read them.
