Years ago, five teenagers met in Jump City, California, brought together by the threat of Lord Trogaar and the Gordanians. Starfire was imprisoned by the Gordanians and was in the process of being brought to the Citadel as a prize but escaped to Earth. Her arrival caused panic in Sector 5 and attracted the attention of Robin, who recently ended his partnership with Batman and journeyed from Gotham to a new city. After stopping a common thief, Robin confronted Starfire and was saved by Beast Boy, former member of the legendary Doom Patrol who was eager to find a new mentor. Cyborg arrived on the scene to investigate the disturbances in his neighborhood and found solace in his disfigurement. As the trio argued what to do about Starfire, Raven appeared suggesting that violence wasn't the only answer and was hoping to find a way to do good for all the evil she may one day be responsible for. When Lord Trogaar unleashed a strike team and threatened to destroy the city, the five strangers teamed up as a one time deal and infiltrated the ship.

They succeeded and upon reflection, decided to stay in communication with each other. Cyborg and Robin built a series of communicators to facilitate this. Soon they became five friends and formed the super hero group, the Teen Titans. Cyborg designed and built a headquarters on a small island near Jump City's Bay area and called it the Titans Tower. Over time, they bonded into a family and learned each other's most intimate secrets and fears. They grew up along the way and stopped city-wide threats like Slade, state-wide terrors like Brother Blood, and an interdimensional evil named Trigon the Terrible. Unable to resist doing everything on their own, the Titans decided to expand the ranks of the team and find kindred spirits across the planet. A legendary team of super villains called the Brotherhood of Evil followed and recruited every super villain. They launched a multiple phased plan to track every hero and strike at them all at one instance. However, the Titans were always one step ahead of them and still held onto hope and saved their allies.

Drawing on the theory of the Multiverse and Hypertime, alternate universes and timelines exist and personify every possible choice and outcome. 20 years from the present, the Teen Titans are disbanded. Only Robin, now Nightwing, is an active hero in Jump City. Starfire is long missing and declared dead. Raven is alone. Cyborg is in disrepair and confined to the Tower ppower supply. Beast Boy is a carnie, showing his ability in a One Man Zoo. Then with no warning, Starfire returns and seeks out their aid. Nightwing sends out the alert on the Titans Communicator to confront the time travelling super villain Warp. The Titans reunited to defeat the villain and return Starfire to her proper time and place with the stolen Clock of Eternity antique. Whether or not this timeline will still exist, one thing remains: they may not agree with each other completely but they still care for one another and are willing to risk everything.
