Mas y Menos are a pair of twin teenage heroes from Sector 27. Due to a binary attraction, when the two hold hands, the tactile act induces them to travel at great speeds. Together, they became the super hero duo, Mas y Menos (Plus and Minus). Despite speaking only Spanish, they managed to get along well with other super heroes. They were later recruited by Bumblebee and Aqualad to join the new Titans East in Steel City. Like Cyborg, they share a love of all things Gamestation. They also have an unrequited crush on Starfire.
Over time, many villains including Brother Blood and the Brotherhood of Evil deduced that once separated, Mas y Menos were powerless. Unbeknowst to Cyborg, Mas y Menos and the rest of Titans East were placed under Blood's mind control. They were later restored to normal thanks to the Teen Titans. Some time later, Control Freak also tested their weakness in the Ultimate Titans Challenge. They needed to press a button at the same time to deactivate a devastating bomb. From atop the bomb, the twins created a vortex and used the momentum to swing both to hit the killswitches simultaneously. Control Freak even briefly used his remote control to convert their language to English.
After the Titans tested the Communicators, Mas y Menos were attacked by Johnny Rancid and Cinderblock in Sector 27. Mas managed to escape and arrived at the Titans outpost but Menos was taken to Paris and frozen. The ragtag team elected to use Mas as bait to lure out Cinderblock. When the ruse succeeded, Mas revealed he could feel Menos was near in the Paris base. Upon being reunited, the twins used Professor Chang's technology to freeze every super villain into submission.
