Wildebeest is 400 pounds of primal fury. Origins unknown, Wildebeest has travelled across North America performing heroic deeds. A man of few words, Wildebeest's physical prowess earned the admiration and friendship of Pantha. Unexpectedly, Wildebeest was teleported to an alternate dimension by the Master of Games to compete in the Tournament of Heroes. In the first round, he defeated Beast Boy but later lost to Robin and Speedy. In the aftermath, Robin and Cyborg made him an honorary Titan and gave him a communicator.
Years later, in the desert wasteland, Wildebeest was attacked and captured by Madame Rouge, of the Brotherhood of Evil. In the battle, his Titans Communicator, her real target, was destroyed. He was taken to the Paris base and frozen by Professor Chang. Meanwhile, Robin and Starfire found the shattered remains of the device after receiving a distress call. Months later, he was freed and fought in the final battle against the Brotherhood.
