At some point between Team Year Six and Team Year Eight, Queen Bee formed a meta-squad composed of meta-humans associated with her and the Light over the years and named it Onslaught. On November 1st, 01:44 UTC+3, Team Year Eight, Onslaught was present as part of a security force protecting a meta-human auction held in an abandoned mall in Al-Qawiya. Despite a warning from Nightwing to keep his emotions in check or else Psimon would detect their ruse, Brion Markov let his anger get to him while he watched his sister Tara Markov battle Holocaust in an exhibition fight. Luckily, Black Lightning was able to send electricity along the hand rails to Psimon and rendered him unconscious. Devastation found him soon after and placed everyone on high alarm. Nightwing's covert team triggered a blackout, forcing an emergency generator on, then attacked a tank outside. Devastation ordered the Terror Twins to guard the slave pens and Mammoth and Shimmer were sent to check out the explosion and kill whoever caused it.
Icicle Jr. went outside and immediately recognized the intruder as Superboy. He knocked out Bialyan soldiers as Icicle told him he didn't forget he "stole" his girl even though she turned out to be Miss Martian but he was totally into her. Superboy admitted he was into her first then bent a tank's turret. Superboy gave Icicle credit for bringing them together and mentioned they were engaged. Icicle congratulated him and admitted he always thought they made a great couple and mused there was hope for him, too. Superboy agreed. Superboy kicked him into a car bumper. Bio-Ship blasted at Shimmer and Mammoth. Tommy Terror was annoyed about missing out on all the action. His spirits lifted after Nightwing and Tigress came to free the meta-humans. Black Lightning zapped the Terror Twins and reckoned that was fun. He was rammed by Devastation. He zapped her but she laughed it off. Mammoth charged but was shot in the shoulders. Superboy dodged Shimmer while she tried to use her meta-ability on him. She dodged Bio-Ship's blasts then leaped at him but he kicked her.
Mammoth threw a car at Bio-Ship but missed and it hit the mall. Tuppence Terror rammed Nightwing while Tommy Terror landed behind Tigress and the meta-humans. Superboy tackled Mammoth, picked him up, and slammed him on the ground. He pounded his chest and charged at Superboy. Lightning dodged Devastation's attacks. Tigress fired arrows at Tuppence Terror. Nightwing jumped on Tommy Terror's back and bashed his head with escrima sticks but got grabbed. Nightwing countered and wrapped his legs around his arm and flipped him to the floor. He got up and clocked Nightwing. Geo-Force and Tara Markov arrived and combined their powers to make a towering wall to block the Terror Twins. Superboy ordered Forager, piloting Bio-Ship, to perform the West Maneuver. He complied and blasted Mammoth's ankles. Superboy clocked him. Tigress directed the meta-humans into Bio-Ship. Devastation punched Lightning out of the mall and boasted she could take anything he threw at her. Lightning was relieved and attacked her at full power. She dropped to the ground. Nightwing's team left for Taos to drop the meta-humans off at the Meta-Human Youth Center. Following the auction, Holocaust was added to Onslaught's roster.
On November 22nd, Psimon and Devastation ran interference at the Meta-Human Youth Center's Harvest Festival in Taos. Psimon used his meta-abilities to cast an illusion and make himself look and sound like Count Vertigo and for Devastation to look and sound like Joe Henchy. He then used his meta-abilities to simulate Vertigo's trademark vertigo effect through telepathic inducement to neutralize festival goers. They kidnapped Queen Perdita Vladek and flew off in a helicopter. Garfield Logan, Virgil Hawkins, Eduardo Dorado Junior, Jaime Reyes, Traci Thruston, and Bart Allen followed from out of Vertigo's range. Scarab suggested blowing the helicopter out of the sky. Reyes reminded it the goal was to save Vladek. It quipped he should specify such things. He retorted it was implied. Thurston managed to tag it with her bad luck magic which then caused its fuel line to break and force a landing.
On November 22nd, 17:31 MST, still in the guise of Count Vertigo, Psimon used his meta-ability to turn the Taos Pueblo into a maze with no end. Logan decided to use his sense of smell and hearing and shifted into a bear. "Henchy" blocked their way. To Logan's surprise, his charge was stopped with one hand and he was knocked back. Hawkins charged up four steel balls but they bounced off "Henchy." Allen tried punching at super speed to no avail and asked what he was made up. "Henchy" replied "sugar and spice and everything nice." "Vertigo" momentarily turned away from Vladek to send Devastation a telepathic message to be careful. Vladek kicked him the groin for the murder of her late father. Psimon's true appearance was revealed and she promptly screamed and punched him out. Devastation found and doted on him then leaped away with him in her arms. Garfield Logan, Eduardo Dorado Junior, Virgil Hawkins, Jaime Reyes, Traci Thruston, and Bart Allen realized the teenage meta-humans at the festival were the true targets and returned in haste with Vladek.
The Terror Twins, Icicle Junior, and Holocaust gathered up the meta-humans at the festival and placed them in pods. Allen arrived first and took Celia Windward off Holocaust then Dorado Junior teleported away with Wendy Jones. Allen recognized Holocaust as one of Queen Bee's thralls. He took offense and stated he was no slave and had no Control Chip on him then boasted Onslaught paid him top dollar. He and Icicle blasted at Allen but were tricked into hitting each other and Icicle was knocked into a pod. Tommy Terror had Livewire then spotted a frozen Holocaust. Thurston hid and used her bad luck magic to make decorations fall on him. He tripped on Holocaust, lost Livewire, and was staple gunned into a pod by Blue Beetle. Tuppence Terror had Mist. Logan, as a snake, constricted her while Hawkins took Mist away. She managed to get Father Box and opened a Hush Tube underneath. Dorado Junior teleported away and Allen ran off just in time.
Reyes objected to Scarab blowing up the Father Box since it was considered a living being. Hawkins snatched the Father Box and tossed it into the tube. Tuppence Terror peeled Logan off and slammed him. Dorado Junior teleported to her and applied an Inhibitor Collar. Logan shifted into a gorilla and decked her. Tommy Terror burst out of his pod in a rage but Hawkins' collared him then Logan turned into a rhino and rammed him. On November 11th, after 22:33 UTC+2, Team Year Ten, a squad from Onslaught waited for the anticipated arrival of the Outsiders at the Lexcorp Robotics factory in Madinat Altharwati: Devastation, Mammoth, and Shimmer. Psimon remained in a sealed room with guards and kept Queen Perdita in his thrall. Devastation mockingly greeted the Gorilla Squad and called them the "mighty attention-seekers." Wonder Girl ordered them to stand down and stated they just wanted Queen Perdita Vladek back. Devastation quipped she just wanted to crush her skull and wanted to see who would end up satisfied. Superboy pointed out they were motivated and she was outnumbered.
Devastation introduced their latest recruit, Match. Superboy blocked Match's blow but tried to reason with him not to fight. Stargirl tried to blast Shimmer while evading her disintegration touch. Beast Boy took on the form of an elephant but took an uppercut from Mammoth. Wonder Girl tried to drop on her back and toss Devastation but she slammed her into the instead. Oracle tried to hail Superboy on comms to warn him about Kryptonite but Match collapsed in his arms and Metallo introduced himself. At 22:42 UTC+2, Stargirl was horrified to watch as Shimmer damaged the Cosmic Staff with her disintegration touch. Devastation held Wonder Girl in a headlock and taunted her for failing to save Queen Perdita Vladek and for being powerless to act as Metallo had the weakened Superboy by the throat. Halo knocked Count Vertigo, Queen Bee, and Psimon out elsewhere in the facility. Shimmer rushed Stargirl but was knocked out with a left kick to the face.
Mammoth noticed and while he was momentarily distracted, Beast Boy turned from a gorilla into a Ma'alefa'ak then hurled him into Devastation. Wonder Girl got free and tied both up with her lasso. Metallo proceeded to choke Superboy to death with both hands but Miss Martian arrived and used telekinesis to shatter his fingers then rip the Kryptonite from his chest. Devastation called her hypocrite for saving her husband but letting Metallo die. She revealed he could not live without the Kryptonite as a power source. Miss Martian chose to leave it with him.
