The Injustice League is a secret society of super villains led by Count Vertigo. With apparent ties to the Light, the League operated in the shadows but became public after perfecting giant Plant Creatures. They broadcast their debut and issued a ransom of $10 billion to the United Nations. The Team concluded they were the villains behind all the recent events they investigated. Batman assigned them to destroy the Plant Creatures' central control system, forcing them to face the Injustice League.
On October 1st, 18:52 Central Daylight Time (CDT), the Team began their battle against the Injustice League in the Bayou Bartholomew. While the Team succeeded in stopping their plans, they were not able to force their surrender. As a contingency, Aqualad donned the Helmet of Fate and became Dr. Fate. The Justice League soon arrived and the villains surrendered. With the Injustice League to serve as proxies, the Light was now free to operate without inquiry from the super heroes once again.
