Artem Mikoyan and Mikhail Gurevich helped found a military aircraft bureau in Soviet Russia. Its bureau prefix was "MiG." It's MiG 15 planes were widely exported to its allies, including the People's Republic of China. The PRC used the jets in dogfights against the United Nations when the Korean War began. On the day of armistice, Colonel Ace Morgan and Airman Hal Jordan were attacked by two MiG fighters.
