The Daily Planet is a newspaper agency based in Midtown Metropolis and is famous for housing a giant globe on its roof. Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen desired an internship at the Planet and worked hard at the Metropolis High School's paper, the Daily Planetoid, often covering Superman's feats. Clark Kent is the Planet's newest intern. Supergirl bounced off the Planet's globe while she tried to prevent a meteor strike on the city. The globe fell off its foundation and threatened the citizens below. Superman caught it and tossed it behind his shoulder back onto the roof. The Super Hero Girls confirmed the Daily Planet was the sixth target of what they believed to be a gang of taggers. The same art design appeared on the front doors of the Planet.

With Max Lord as their PR agent, Batgirl and Supergirl started garnering acclaim. They also made the front page of the Daily Planet for saving Metropolis's beloved mascot Mr. Moofy the Mole. They continued to make headlines like saving a picnic, finding the Mayor's lucky penny, reheating leftover pizza to the perfect temperature, saving a Mind & Body class as fill-in aerobics instructors, and saving puppies from nightmares. Their egos got to the best of them and there was a public spat during a press tour. The Planet published the headline "Super Friends No More". Infuriated about Max Lord not honoring his part of a deal to make her an A-lister supervillain, Giganta kidnapped him and climbed up the Daily Planet building. Batgirl and Supergirl arrived at the same time. They soon learned they both fired Lord as their PR agent and made up.

Supergirl was about to list a condition. Batgirl thought she was going to say they never let ego come between them again. Supergirl was not thinking that and stated they never tell Jessica Cruz she was right. Batgirl nodded in agreement. Giganta dangled Lord from the rooftop balcony. Supergirl promised Giganta she would be beat up a third time in a week. Giganta couldn't believe she wanted to save the weasel then spilled on her deal with Lord. Batgirl, from atop the globe, proposed doing it the hard way or the fun way. Giganta was confused. Batgirl took out her binoculars and spotted the Mr. Moofy sculpture at the nearby city park then explained the "fun way" would get her the bad guy cred Lord couldn't get her. She asked Supergirl how far she could toss Giganta. Giganta soon landed on top of the Moofy sculpture and was declared Metropolis's worst by a reporter. The Planet published a front page headline, "Supergirl and Batgirl Save Some Guy, Destroy Beloved Moofy Statue."

The Planet covered the local class president election at Metropolis High School. An article was published about how Oswald Cobblepot's poll numbers rose thanks to big promises and free T-shirts.

Just as Doris Zeul timed it, the 1:00 ray of sunshine bounced off the Daily Planet globe and blinded Wonder Woman just as she threw her Lasso of Truth. She snagged a pipe on the roof of a bus and was dragged through the city.
