  • July 16, 2018: TV Guide Comic-Con special magazine reveals Supergirl and Wonder Woman go by Kara Danvers and Diana Prince. The core theme is "mashing up being super and being teenagers." Kara craves the glory and fame of her cousin, Superman. The writers draw a lot from their own experiences as teenagers. Teen versions of The Flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, and Hawkman will appear, but with the exception of one boy they will mainly emphasize friendship with the boys rather then crushes or romantic interests. • July 17, 2018: Key art posted by Sebastian Cordova. Sebastian Cordova Tweet
  • July 20, 2018: Summary of Comic-Con panel. Jennifer Kluska is a director. First clip," The Late Batsby" featured Batgirl falling asleep while studying. She gets a call from Wonder Woman about having to fight Mr. Freeze. Her dad is still up, so she can't go running off and has a humorously frustrated reaction. Batgirl tries to catch up by any means possible, including going through sewers and people's apartments. And to our surprise, she's actually the first on the scene! The show explores balances your teenage life with your super life with the idea of secret identities. Batgirl is sleuth as a hero, but as a teen, she's a fangirl. Jessica Cruz, the Green Lantern, as a hero is a protector, but as a teen, she's an activist. Zatanna as hero is magic, but as a teen, she's a showoff. Wonder Woman is kind of a fish out of water, dealing with being a hero and with adolescent stuff like crushes. Has an accent. Barbara Gordon has an after-school job that is basically a Taco Bell. The second clip showed some of the girls in detention. Wonder Woman enters the room, to the awe of the others. In her introduction, she proclaims that she's not a girl, she's a woman before getting in a fight. The girls in the room inevitably all reveal, thanks to the deductions of Batgirl, that they all have powers and agree to band together. Katana is coming back, and there are big plans for her. Supergirl and Superman have a pretty strong storyline that will be featured on the show, a thing with Wonder Woman and her mom, and Batgirl with her dad. Barbara Gordon and Harley Quinzel are best friends that grew up together in Gotham, and they have no idea that they're beating each other up at night. Harley loves very hard. She loves her friend Barbara, and she makes bad choices for love. Newsarama Article

  • July 22, 2018: Q&A with cast and crew. SyFy Wire YouTube
  • July 25, 2018: John de Lancie voices Mr. Freeze in the theatrical short. The series will be 11 minute episodes. Catwoman "is the leader and brains of the group who doesn't sully herself with physical fighting." Giganta and Livewire "are the typical school bullies but whereas Giganta is "the bully who might pound your face in, Livewire is going to kill your soul" Livewire uses a media channel to embarrass her victims, a modern teen angle on the character that is incredibly relevant. Poison Ivy was compared to Ally Sheedy's character from The Breakfast Club who is the waif and recluse most than likely talking to a potted plant. Zatanna might be voiced by Kari Wahlgren. Expect a Catwoman versus Supergirl conflict that will entail a brains versus brawn episode. Comics Beat Article

Then the toy company said they wanted to make dolls so they wanted them to be "pretty." Faust wanted diversity and body shape diversity and questioned why every female protagonist had be to "pretty." She had to redesign them despite not having time in order to get the toy team to approve them. As a result, it became harder for designers to draw on model and caused a lot of challenges that could have been avoided. Creative Block #79, 40 min. mark

  • May 14, 2021: Summary of virtual demo and three stills included. There are two gameplay modes, "Teen" mode and "Superhero" mode. In "Teen" mode, the Super Hero Girls explore Metropolis in their civilian identities and in "Superhero" mode, in their superhero identities and encounter various baddies. Both modes follow a multi-chapter campaign. The story centers on Toyman using an army of robots to attack Hobb's Bay and frames it on other supervillains then Lex Luthor steps in and in the rebuilding phase, allows Metropolis's teenagers to customize it. The Super Hero Girls attempt to figure out who Toyman is and stop him. At the start of the game, only Wonder Woman, Batgirl, and Supergirl are playable. The rest and supervillain girls are unlocked as you play the game. A "VR mode" allows you to repeat previously completed missions by approaching certain civilian NPCs wearing their VR headsets. Harley Quinn's gameplay style is more sporadic and has a "No Time" bomb. Catwoman is more agile. Star Sapphire has range attacks. Batgirl has her grappling hook. Wonder Woman's shield can be used as a projectile and platform to step on. Only one character per mission can be controlled by the player, the other two are controlled by the CPU. Each mission ends with you taking a photo for a Daily Planet article. Coins collected allow you to buy things like outfits like New 52 Wonder Woman, Crisis on Infinite Earth Supergirl, or Sean Murphy's Batgirl redesign and pieces of real estate in Hobb's Bay. Plushies of Hammy the Hamster are to be collected throughout the game in the middle of battles.
