Bessolo Bistro is a high end eatery in Metropolis. Carter Hall eventually apologized to Shiera Sanders about Karen Beecher's various matchmaking schemes and promised he didn't mean to scare her or make her feel uncomfortable. He admitted she reminded him of someone he used to know and wanted to talk to her but he promised to leave her alone. As he walked away, she stopped him and suggested they talk the next day at Bessolo Bistro at 8 pm. Hall agreed to it and was elated he got a date. He declared everything was perfect. Beecher echoed him. They were both gleeful. On the night of the date, Sanders arrived first and waited at their table. Carter Hall parked across the street from Bessolo Bistro. Beecher handed him the flowers. Hall was a little nervous. Beecher assured him he would do great because he was one of the best conversationalists she knew. He wasn't relieved. He stepped out and before he could cross the street, Hath-Set tackled him into a car and an aerial battle broke out. By the time Beecher and Hall returned, Sanders was still waiting. Hall decided not to go through with the date in order to break the curse. Sanders drew Hall on a napkin, put it to her heart, put it down the table, and left.
