Dick Grayson is an orphaned circus acrobat who was taken in by Bruce Wayne. Grayson became Robin, the sidekick of Batman and together, they protect Gotham City from crime. On a summer day, Barbara Gordon glimpsed Batman on top of a roof. As he fired a grapnel and swung away, Gordon yelled out in vain for to stop so he could meet his new teammate. Robin heard everything and mocked her mercilessly even though she was taller than him. He saw her Bat-Mite doll and continued to be demeaning. Robin told her to go home and play with her little dolls. He fired a grapnel line and left. Batgirl wishes to take Robin's place and often invents new gadgets to prove her worthiness. Batgirl observed a fight between Batman and Professor Pyg on the roof of a building. She planned to show up and impress him with her Bat grappling hook but Robin showed up and Batman had to save him. She missed her chance to meet Batman before she moved away to Metropolis.

With news of Poison Ivy heading to the Metropolis Pesticide Plant, Batman called the Batphone to tell Commissioner Gordon. Barbara Gordon answered and pretended to be him but she couldn't understand him. Robin came on the line and explained everything clearly and asked if they were getting back up or not. In reality, Commissioner Gordon wondered why Robin was Batman's sidekick instead of Batgirl. He also thought Robin was a twerp. Barbara Gordon and Harleen Quinzel went to the Annual Convention of Gotham City Enthusiasts. They went to a panel where Gordon thought the surprise special guest was Batman. She had a question prepared that asked him how he differentiates incidental clues from the most illuminating ones doubling in impressing him in hopes of him taking her on as a sidekick. To her disappointment, the special guest was Robin. After an anecdote, Robin opened the floor to questions. He saw through Gordon's question and teased her. Quinzel was enraged. She lied to Gordon she had one more thing to go do and they agreed to meet at a coffee stand at 4 pm.

Harley Quinn crashed the panel and lunged at Robin with her mallet. Batgirl swung in and kicked Harley away. Robin thought they were cosplayers and had security throw them out. Harley warned Batgirl to stay out of her way. Batgirl admitted she thought Harley's goal was awesome but vowed to stop her anyway. Harley went up to the scaffolding and severed a light fixture over Robin as he gave autographs. Batgirl fired a grapnel line and caught it. During the red carpet, Quinn posed as a reporter and handed him her microphone and ran. It was really a grenade. Batgirl chased her. She ran back and put the pin back in the grenade. Quinn fired a blow dart from a potted plant. Batgirl blocked it with a cut out of Robin. Robin ordered a hot dog but Quinn handed him a live dynamite stick in a bun. Batgirl put it out with ketchup and mustard. Gordon, unaware of what was going on, appealed to Quinzel to not let the convention be ruined for her, too, and do the thing she needed to do for her. Quinzel saw Robin and was inspired to try and kill him again. She changed back into Harley Quinn, stole the Joker's steam roller, and charged at Robin. Gordon was reduced to tears.

Quinzel returned and was confused. Gordon admitted he was a jerk that always embarrassed her but she never wished him dead. They noticed Robin was still alive and what got run over was a cardboard cut out used for selfies. Robin started judging the cosplay contest. Quinzel realized she still had a live bomb strapped to the judge's chair. Harley Quinn forced her way onto the stage but Batgirl stood in her way. Robin found the bomb. They leaped over the desk at him. Harley emerged with the bomb. The people in the audience realized it was real and fled the room. Harley didn't know how to get rid of it and ran into a restroom. A boy tripped her up and she lost the bomb. Batgirl fired a grapnel line and captured it then tossed it back to Harley. Harley threw it in a vault but realized it was the actual vault used by the Joker in his infamous 'Breakin' the Bank' Caper. She ran off with the bomb and threw it. Robin happened to catch it. Harley snatched it. Batgirl grabbed a fire extinguisher and fired but it went all over her face instead of the bomb. Harley gave her the bomb, took the extinguisher, and took out the fuse.

Robin peered out from behind the curtain and grimmaced at the fact they stopped the bomb. Batgirl and Harley bowed and shook hands. Batgirl stared her down. Harley sprayed her face and ran out of the convention center. Batgirl chased after her into the city. Quinzel thought Gordon was a fan of Robin and as Harley Quinn tracked him down to an alley. Robin was reduced to tears and frantically signed a photo of himself under duress. On an episode of "Make It Wayne," a scene spotlighted Dick Grayson writing in a study at Wayne Manor East. The identifier described him as an Orphaned Circus Acrobat. Alfred Pennyworth set down a plate of cookies. Pennyworth inquired if he was getting a head start on his homework. Grayson clarified it wasn't homework, he was writing a report on the plight of tsunami victims. Bruce Wayne suddenly burst into the study with a conga line of friends including a 24/7 Live anchor and the actor who portrays Aiden in the "Just Before Dusk" movies. Wayne asked Pennyworth to bring the elephant around back. Grayson asked him if he was still going to still help him with his report. Wayne remembered his promise and told him maybe later because he only had the band for three more hours.

Ironically, from watching the "Make It Wayne" reality television series, Gordon finds Grayson to be super sweet despite hating the show. Alfred Pennyworth hired Jessica Cruz to babysit at Grayson's birthday party at Wayne Manor East. Cruz convinced Beecher to team up with her. On the day, Pennyworth announced the birthday chaperons arrived. Wayne was pleased but asked who's birthday it was. Pennyworth informed him it was Master Dick's. Wayne played it cool and assumed he got him something nice. Pennyworth confirmed he did as always. Pennyworth took Cruz and Beecher to meet Grayson. He and his friends quickly lined up. Pennyworth introduced Grayson, Kory, Victor, Garfield, and Rachel. Cruz introduced herself then Beecher and wished Grayson a happy birthday. He thanked her. After Pennyworth left, Cruz and Beecher turned around and saw the children in costume. Grayson, now Robin, declared they were the Tween Titans. The Titans caused a ruckus. Robin threw Birdarangs around and jumped onto a mantle.

Starfire flew around, and Beast Boy tried climbed up a curtain but he fell to the floor with it and the pole. Robin stated they couldn't tell them what to do. Robin rode a vase, levitated by Raven, like a cowboy on a bull. Robin was first to try to hit the star shaped pinata. Cruz concluded redirecting kids' naturally high energy kept them under control and earned their respect and gratitude. Robin lifted up the blindfold so he could see with one eye. He opted to whack the other Titans: Beast Boy then Starfire then Raven's book then the eager Cyborg. Cruz ran past them, took the bat, and broke the pinata open. Candy spilled out. The Titans rode Cyborg around while he was a jet ski. Cruz got between them and the Greenhouse of Glass and announced it was time for the birthday cake. Cruz tried to get them to sit nicely and quietly but they demanded the cake. Starfire burst out the cake with her mouth full. Beecher had it and screamed they were on time out. The Titans tied them up and hung them upside down above a portal in the foyer.

Cyborg and Robin emptied Cruz and Beecher's bags into Raven's portal to the dark realm. Beecher observed Robin giving her locket to Cyborg and told Cruz it was time to stop acting like adults and stoop to the Titans' level. She dared Cyborg into getting past the mega hi-tech locking mechanism in her locket. Cyborg connected to the locket. Robin flicked Cruz's power ring into the portal. Cyborg unlocked the portal. The Bumblebee suit flew out to Beecher. She flew off and grabbed the ring in time then put it on Cruz. She declared it was time to put the babies to bed. They didn't take kindly to being called babies. Cyborg turned into a motorcycle and Robin rode him in a showdown with Green Lantern in a hallway. At the last second, Lantern trapped them in a bouncy house construct. Lantern fired a giant twister construct at the Titans. Bumblebee tossed their clothes into the twister. Lantern made a giant cradle construct for them then Bumblebee threw baby bottles into their mouths. They rocked the cradle and the Titans fell asleep. Pennyworth tried to book Cruz and Beecher for next Saturday but they hightailed it after Wayne paid them.

Dick Grayson's class went on a field trip to the Metropolis Museum. He forgot his favorite Super Pig comic book there and returned that night as Robin. He happened upon Batgirl and Riddler. Robin threw out a line and snagged Riddler, claiming he caught the villain. While they argued and later talked to Batman, Robin claimed he caught Riddler. She called him a liar. Riddler slipped away. Batgirl had enough of Robin and decided it was time to prove who was the better sidekick. Batgirl proposed a challenge to see who was better sidekick once and for all: one hour to catch the most criminals. He found it dull but did it anyway. Robin arrested an elderly woman about to jaywalk steps away from a crosswalk, a father about to eat food from Burrito Bucket in a Big Borger, an infant, and a goldfish. Batgirl caught a bank robber, mugger, and Giganta. He rubbed it in with a victory dance he choreographed while he waited for her but he pulled a hamstring.

One of Batgirl's captures tried to get away but Batman was up above on the roof and snagged him then thrust him into a dumpster. Robin lied that he captured all seven criminals. Batman presented Riddler's latest clue, "What has branches and leaves but no bark?" Robin guessed a dog then a tree then a silent dog tree. Batgirl stated the answer was a library and realized Riddler was planning to steal the Ancient Volume of Puzzles on display at the Metropolis Library's Antiquities Room. Batman nodded in agreement. Robin's hamstring still hampered him. Batgirl volunteered to help. Robin was amused an "amateur" would even say that but to his surprise Batman took off with her. Robin recuperated at Wayne Manor East. He shouted for Alfred Pennyworth and slid down the rail but hit a sensitive area. He shrugged it off and displayed his fighting moves. Robin boasted being back in action. Pennyworth feigned relief. Robin was ready to capture Riddler and asked where Bruce Wayne was. Pennyworth reveled in telling him Batman already enlisted the aid of Batgirl to do so to Robin's horror.

Just as Batman and Batgirl had Riddler captured in the Metropolis Library, Robin suddenly swung towards them. Riddler sidestepped him as he hit a wall. Robin tried to take the book but got stuck to it, too. Batman was miffed and yanked Robin off with all this might. He was launched back and landed on Batgirl. Riddler ran for it and escaped. Robin informed Batman he was going to take money out of the petty Bat-cash to get new gloves. Batman asked Batgirl to be his new sidekick. Robin took it hard and started begging people on the streets for a hero gig. Batgirl enjoyed a sherbet cone on a roof but she heard Robin down below. He shouted Batman's name and dropped to his knees. He was not pleased to see Batgirl and asked if she wanted to take his new headquarters, too. He pointed to a cardboard box named Robin's cave. A black cat hissed at them. She asked him if he had anywhere else to go. He sarcastically told her Superman just called him. Robin pointed out she had friends but all he had was Batman. He sobbed. Batgirl offered her cone but he was disgusted by the flavor.

On the night the king of Markovia's treasure was transported, Batgirl did the right thing called up Robin and gave him a specific set of instructions to follow if he wanted to be back into Batman's good graces. Riddler admitted he was perplexed to see Batgirl already tied up. Over comms, Batgirl pretended Riddler got the jump on her. Robin cut a hole in the roof and jumped in and asked Riddler his own riddle, "Who is a bozo?" Before Riddler could guess, Robin punched him out just as Batman opened the back up. Riddler was turned over to the police. Robin told his version of events to Batman. Batgirl told him it was an honor. Before she left on her moped, Batman nodded to show he understood what she did for Robin. On Halloween, Robin texted Batgirl back to tell her Batman was out of town and never called her.

During a test run of the Sparrow robot, Batgirl dreamed about impressing Batman. In the fantasy, Batman recruited her to his team. Robin wondered what was to come of himself. Batman tossed him the keys and told him to wash the Batmobile.

The Super Hero Girls questioned the Tween Titans about where they were during the power outage that crippled the city. Bumblebee asked Robin if her was practicing with his Bird-arangs near the power station. Robin denied he was, this time.
