Doris Zeul is a star athlete at Metropolis High School but she is also a bully. She also skips classes routinely like Home Ec. Leslie Willis hung out with Doris Zeul on the track field outside Metropolis High School. Karen Beecher tried taking the extra extra long way to chemistry class to avoid Zeul but crossed paths anyway and got hit by her football. Zeul offered to take her to chemistry class after remembering she went to it once. Zeul and Willis carried her into a locker room instead. Beecher pointed out they weren't in the science building. Zeul stated she irritated and bugged her like a puny little insect. Willis chimed in and told her Zeul squashed bugs. Zeul made Beecher hit herself. Beecher conceded it was very funny. Willis suggested she needed time alone to ponder how comedy works. Beecher knew what was going to happen and backed into a locker by herself. It was the fifth time that month Zeul bullied Beecher. After school, Willis chatted with Zeul over laptops. She watched Zuel do a bench press in her parents' garage.
Willis advised her to get new material instead of using "why are you hitting yourself?" Zeul thought it was a classic. The barbell and bench broke to Willis' amusement. Zeul told her to shut it and closed her laptop. Zeul's parents sneaked up on her in the garage. She asked them if they ever head of knocking and called them dweebs. Zeul's mother informed her they were leaving for the science conference. Zeul repeated her words in a mocking tone. Zeul's mother told her she loved her. They got in the car and left. Zeul realized she needed to pump up and went into her parents' lab. She injected herself with Serum 24 and gained the power to transform into a super strong giant. She went to the mall in search of free weights. An employee at the sporting goods store asked her if she was looking for yoga mats. Zeul turned and stated she wanted free weights. He bet they were for dance aerobic class. Zeul growled. He got out two pink three pound weights. Zeul's anger came to a boil and she transformed.
Zeul threw merchandise outside into the mall then the employee himself. She declared she was Giganta and everyone would feel her wrath for the insult. She grabbed a basketball pole, snapped it, and threw it. Wonder Woman caught it and told the bystanders to clear the mall then leaped and punched Giganta in the face. Giganta was unharmed and stood in place. As she laughed, Wonder Woman slid between her legs and grabbed a hockey stick. Wonder Woman dodged her attacks then gestured her to come. Giganta grabbed a barbell and loaded the weights on one side. They charged each other. Wonder Woman stopped abruptly and avoided her swing. Giganta threw a fountain at her and it avoided hitting Beecher in the electronics store. Giganta broke the hockey stick to pieces with the barbell. Wonder Woman used her Lasso of Truth and snagged a wrist. Giganta pulled and like a yo-yo, Wonder Woman was tied up in her own weapon. Giganta went to the Big Time Closet and hung Wonder Woman up on the "S" then knocked the "C" and "T" away to spell "Big Time Lose." She felt humiliated.
Kara Danvers walked back to the electronics store and noticed Giganta. She changed into Supergirl, flew to Giganta and punched her repeatedly. Supergirl took her attention away from Giganta to celebrate prematurely. She got grabbed by the legs and slammed around on the floor. Supergirl weakly stood up and asked if that was all she had. Giganta grabbed her head, spun around, and threw her through the skylight. Barbara Gordon was excited to see a fight in progress with Giganta. She quickly changed, dodged her attacks, and batted a Bat-grenade at her with a tennis racket. It did nothing to Giganta. Batgirl threw a net on her but she broke free. Batgirl suggested a deuce. Giganta grabbed her, rolled her into a ball, and bowled her into mannequinns for a strike. Beecher suited up and got Giganta's attention telling her to fight someone her own size. Bumblebee used her growth tech but only worked for a few seconds. Giganta tried to smash her with a hand but Bumblebee was so tiny she was unharmed and stood between two of her fingers.
Bumblebee embraced her size and buzzed around Giganta, forcing her to swat around blindly. Bumblebee then flew into her suit and tickled her. She fell on her butt. Bumblebee dodged a clap then led Giganta on a chase to the top floor then fired her stingers. They did no harm. She made a note to self to upgrade them and dodged a punch. She got an idea and flew for Giganta's face then flew away suddenly. Giganta punched herself in the face. Bumblebee echoed Zuel's taunt from school then poked her in the forehead. Giganta fell through the ground floor down several levels of the parking garage. By the time Bumblebee flew down to her, Giganta was gone. The next day, Zeul tried to hit Beecher with her football again. Beecher held out her arm and was shocked to see she caught it. Zeul demanded it back. Without thinking, Beecher told her to come and get it and called her a meathead. Zeul chased her around the field.
Zeul joined Selina Kyle's crew. During lunch, Diana Prince observed how Selina Kyle had acquired several friends: Doris Zeul, Leslie Willis, Carol Ferris, and Pamela Isley. They shared conspiratorial looks with each other then Zeul tripped Garth Bernstein as he walked past their table. They all laughed. Harleen Quinzel met them after she moved to Metropolis. Just for fun, Kyle drove while Zeul knocked mail boxes off their stands with a baseball bat. The five girls revealed their criminal alter-egos to Quinzel, who in turn revealed she was Harley Quinn. They went on a crime spree. At a jewelry store, Giganta used her strength to open the vault. At Metropolis Auto Town, Giganta removed the roof off a car and Livewire jump started it with her own power then the girls went on a joy ride. At a museum, Giganta smashed a bust of George Washington with a freaky bat statue. Giganta ripped the front gate off the Metropolis Zoo entrance. All the animals let out fled the zoo. Giganta, Livewire, Star Sapphire, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy ate at a high class restaurant then caused mayhem.
The Super Hero Girls intervened after the villains drove past Sweet Justice and unknowingly called them nerds. Supergirl punched Giganta through a building. Giganta was launched into a bus. Supergirl fired off her heat vision but Harley popped up in front of Giganta and deflected the heat vision with a mirror. She joked she gave her something to reflect on. Giganta didn't catch on. Supergirl and Giganta were locked in combat until Catwoman caught the Super Hero Girls with the Lasso of Truth. The arrival of Batgirl and the police prompted a retreat. Harley refused. Giganta grabbed her head and used a seat belt to tie her up then carried the others away in the stolen car. Giganta helped Harley Quinn with her plan to blow up the bridge. Giganta punched her way to the bridge from underneath but didn't take a liking to Harley's nickname for her, "Meathead." Giganta and the others planted the bombs and set up the fuses. Bumblebee narrowly prevented Harley from detonating them. Giganta was about to punch Bumblebee but Wonder Woman arrived and blocked her then Supergirl flew in and tackled Giganta. Supergirl attacked her with a flurry of punches. Both teams regrouped then charged at each other.
One night, Giganta lost her soul to Katana's Soultaker sword. Everyone was on edge. Batgirl told everyone to relax because all they had to do was hide two bodies at her house. Giganta's body fell on top of Mrs. Cruz's van. Lantern glumly made a van construct and drove. Supergil strained to push Giganta's body through the Gordon house. She and the other villains were stored in Barbara Gordon's bedroom for safe keeping. It was made to look like they were doing make overs during a slumber party. Commissioner Gordon fell for it. Katana later saw the error of her ways and freed every soul. The other Super Hero Girls came to in Gordon's bedroom but were face to face with the six bewildered villains. Catwoman stated they would never speak of it again. Everyone agreed. Giganta went on a rampage in the city one night, ripping a pole out of the ground. Batgirl happened to be in the middle of a contest to see who was the better sidekick by arresting the most criminals. Batgirl used momentum from a swing to punch out Giganta. She tied her up with the others she caught and dragged them back to the alley where she and Robin made their bet.
Giganta was about to rampage on First Avenue and picked up a city bus. Batgirl swung in and distracted her while Supergirl fly by and grabbed the bus. Batgirl proceeded to tie her up then tossed her line over to Supergirl who hoisted her upside down from a streetlight. Supergirl let go to high five Batgirl. Giganta fell on her head and was rendered unconscious. PR agent Max Lord tipped them off about something big going down at the public unveiling of the Mr. Moofy sculpture at the city park. Kara Danvers and Babs Gordon waited among the crowd. Giganta crashed the unveiling and in exchange Max Lord secretly promised to make her an A-lister supervillain as long as she let Batgirl and Supergirl defeat her. Her steps cracked the sculpture and she grabbed Moofy. Batgirl tied her up and Supergirl pulled the line. Giganta spun around like a tornado and fell to the ground. Batgirl slid into position and caught Moofy. The crowd cheered for Batgirl and Supergirl. A reported on scene couldn't believe the scoop she got and praised the heroes. They also made the front page of the Daily Planet.
Later in the week, Max Lord tried to brainstorm a way to fix the schism between Batgirl and Supergirl. Giganta entered Lord's office and demanded he hold up his end of their deal. Lord was not hearing it and made the mistake of calling her an epic failure. Batgirl called up Lord to fire him but saw Giganta leap across buildings above her with Lord screaming for help. Giganta climbed up the Daily Planet building and dangled Lord by his feet from the roof's balcony. Supergirl promised Giganta she would be beat up a third time in a week. Giganta couldn't believe she wanted to save the weasel then spilled on her deal with Lord. Batgirl, from atop the globe, proposed doing it the hard way or the fun way. Giganta was confused. Batgirl took out her binoculars and spotted the Mr. Moofy sculpture then explained the "fun way" would get her the bad guy cred Lord couldn't get her. She asked Supergirl how far she could toss Giganta. Giganta soon landed on the Moofy sculpture, smashing it to pieces. A boy cried. Despite being beat up, Giganta smiled. The police led her away in hand cuffs and she posed for reporters and photographers. A reported declared she was Metropolis's worst, just like she wanted.
On a Taco Tuesday, Karen Beecher bumped into Zeul in the cafeteria. Zeul wanted Beecher's taco and chased after her. Beecher hid in a locker. Zeul ripped the door off one and a bowling ball fell on her head. She checked another and discovered Garth Bernstein was stuffed inside. She paused then closed the door. Beecher ran out into the restroom and stood above a stall. Zeul checked the stalls. Some of the beef fell out of the taco. Zeul looked up. Beecher fell on top of her then ran for the library. Once the coast seemed clear, Beecher sat in an aisle and was about to eat. Zeul pulled her through a shelf to the other side. She took the taco but the librarian took it away and pointed to the no food sign. She pulled Zeul along by the ear. Beecher found herself back where she started still with an empty stomach.
Zeul entered the annual pie eating contest at Sweet Justice and competed against Diana Prince and Barry Allen. Zeul growled at the other jocks to cheer better. She used a "pancake" strategy and smashed several pumpkin pies into one then eating them at once. Zeul noticed Prince eating her pies with a sudden ferocity and tried making bigger pancakes but she began slowing down and getting dizzy. She punched one more pie into her mouth then fell off her seat with a count of 94 and was disqualified. Jessica Cruz' mom's van was damaged during an incident involving Giganta. Cruz' driving privileges were taken away. Zeul went to a 10:30 screening of "Just Before Dusk: Final Light" after reading the spoilers online and noticed Beecher was the only other person in the theater. She purposefully sat in front of Beecher, dumped her popcorn on her, kicked her chair from behind, and talked about spoilers over the phone with Selina Kyle. Beecher ran out of the theater. Zeul started watching the movie and realized it was actually pretty good.
Bumblebee, in her tiny form, re-entered the theater. Zeul's drink spilled on her track suit then Bumblebee stole her popcorn then dumped it on her and stuffed it over her head. She punched blindly until Bumblebee stung her in the butt. Zeul ran out of the theater. Giganta landed on a parked car. Harley Quinn used Wonder Woman's stolen Lasso of Truth on her. She admitted she smashed things because she was overcompensating for deep insecurity rooted in a quest for perfection and an overpowering fear in not being good enough. A bystander realized she wasn't a monster, just misunderstood. Giganta insisted she was a monster and roared at him and his wife. He noted she was lashing out because of the pain she felt. They walked away. Giganta still insisted then gave up mid-sentence and sat on the car. Doris Zeul returned home on the afternoon of October 12 with a F+ on her seventh history test of the semester. She worked out but felt her strength weakening. She went into the lab to inject herself with Serum 24 again but she mistakenly used Serum 44 and gained enhanced intelligence.
Zeul devised a plan to destroy the Super Hero Girls once and for all. She built a robot and fashioned it as a woman in distress then ran it through a street. Wonder Woman sighted it from a roof and fell for the sham. Wonder Woman attempted to grab her with her Lasso of Truth but as Zeul timed it, the 1:00 ray of sunshine bounced off the Daily Planet globe and blinded Wonder Woman. She instead snagged a pipe on the roof of a bus and was dragged through the city. As she anticipated, Wonder Woman's plight drew in the other five heroes. She landed on a giant red "x" painted at an intersection in the Central Business District where the other girls caught up to her. Then from atop a building, Zeul's newly constructed Fusion Powered Destructo Beam 24,000 would fire on them. Zeul prepared to enter the code to fire the Destructo Beam but Serum 44 wore off and Zeul could no longer operate the machine. She pressed every button and smashed a screen. The cannon aimed at her and blasted her across the city.
Students in the hail ran for it as Doris Zeul's stomach growls grew closer and closer. Garth Bernstein didn't heed the other students and was grabbed by Zeul. She held him upside down and shook his spare change out then stuffed him in his locker. She kicked the doors open to the cafeteria. The students inside bolted. Zeul eyed the Snack Shack vending machine and the last item in it was a Fudge Monster Caramel Crunch bar. She put in Bernstein's change but the bar kept getting stuck. She tried shaking the machine. Leslie Willis appeared behind Zeul and greeted her then teleported to the side of the machine. She zapped the machine and the bar finally dropped down. They both reached for it and staked their claim on it. Both of their stomachs growled. Willis laughed then zapped Zeul. Zeul shoved her into a table. She zapped Zeul again while she reached in then reappeared atop the machine. Zeul challenged her to come down and fight. Willis blasted her then came down.
Zeul had enough and transformed into Giganta, grabbed Willis, and threw her into a wall before she could make fun of her hair. Willis teleported to turn herself around and transformed into Livewire. They charged and leaped at each other. While the two fought, Selina Kyle walked past then doubled back and peeked inside. She went to the vending machine, saw the bar, ate it, and left without being noticed. Giganta and Livewire soon got tired and agreed to split the bar. They saw an empty wrapper on the ground. Both of their stomachs growled again. Livewire accused her of eating it and playing a joke by asking them to split it. Giganta denied it. They got angry and fought each other some more. Kyle walked past the cafeteria outside, licking her fingers. Zatanna battled Giganta, Catwoman, and Harley Quinn all at once one night. She cast a spell and pulled one of her rabbits from out of her hat. It fired magic lasers from its eyes. Giganta shielded herself with a piece of pavement but it vanished. Catwoman and Harley dodged.
During a game of dodge ball, Doris Zeul went last in trying to hit Beecher. She used her strength to launch a powerful throw but Beecher stood her ground. The ball hit her in the face but it was launched backwards and hit Zeul, Barbi Minerva, Leslie Willis, and Selina Kyle repeatedly like a pinball and knocked them all out. The teacher declared Beecher the winner. Giganta robbed a Bank of Moolah on a Saturday morning. As she exited, Flash happened to run into her on the way home. She vowed he would pay. Flash told her he had to run and tied her up with super speed then left her to the police already on the scene.
On a Monday morning, the Super Hero Girls fought Giganta who sat on a highway. Green Lantern offered to share a vegan cone with her if she just walked away. Wonder Woman declared they would not be intimidated and noted she fought gods much larger than her. Supergirl punched her face but was counter punched her into the side of a building. Bumblebee apologized as she blasted Giganta in the neck. Green Lantern created a slide to evacuate citizens to safety while Wonder Woman restrained Giganta's hands with the Lasso of Truth. Zatanna cast a spell intended to teleport her across town to chill out. In reality, she teleported Giganta to the Arctic. She vowed to get back at Zatanna as she shivered among many penguins. At the end of the Metropolis High Science Far, Zee Zatara concluded science was like being part of a super hero team, when you combine the right elements, it's magic. Giganta suddenly slammed the doors open and screamed Zatanna's name. Zatara quipped magic wasn't always an exact science.
On the night of Metropolis High's "Enchanted Evening" school dance, Zatara dressed Doris Zeul and her date with a top hat and boa, respectively, before they took their photo. Zatara promised they would thank her later. At the Fall Festival, Prince and Zeul competed in the pumpkin pie-eating contest. Barry Allen started the competition then realized he should have brought more pies. For a dog adoption fair held at Metropolis High, Zuel adopted a Chihuahua. Karen Beecher was surprised. Zeul clarified she loved small dogs but didn't like small people. After she left, Gordon joked she seemed fine with small brains. Giganta stomped Bumblebee once and made a pun about her pollen her leg.
The Super Villains raided the Metropolis Mega-Mart of TV sets but they were stopped by Supergirl. While the others scolded Supergirl for grandstanding, the villains escaped in Star Sapphire's car construct. They were unaware Lena Luthor wanted to join them. Doris Zeul was in the Knitting Club and found it rather relaxing. The Super Villains cased out the Metropolis Museum but Harley Quinn wanted to just rob it. Catwoman insisted the prize would arrive the next day. Lena Luthor approached them in her new warsuit and wanted to be their associate. They weren't interested. She promised she could help them and demonstrated her rocket arms. The rocket ricocheted off the sign and hit her. The next night, the Super Villains broke into the museum and made their way to the Grand Hall. Catwoman directed everyone to the new Egyptian Artifacts exhibit. Giganta couldn't find much in her size. Catwoman was ready to head out but Luthor found them. She took offense to being called a "little girl" and trapped them in a laser prison. After Zatanna turned Luthor's rubber ducks on her, the Super Villains tried to sneak out but the Super Hero Girls confronted them. During gymnastics practice, the coach found Zeul's turn "inspirational" but Diana Prince showed everyone up.
Batgirl, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman took on Giganta after a giant robot and hacked Demo-Bots wrecked Hob's Bay. Doris Zeul was prohibited by her parents from taking part in Lexcorp's Hob's Bay restoration project due to low test scores. Zeul's frustration continued to grow. Several days later, she even punched a tree in front of Pamela Isley. Zeul went to Old City and called Toyman's stand "useless junk." As Giganta, she went on a rampage in Hob's Bay's Port Area over a zero she got on a math test. The Super Hero Girls drew her attention to the plaza while the Lexcorp Navibot evacuated citizens. Surprisingly, Poison Ivy came to the girls' aid and held Giganta down with her vines while they counterattacked. She declared Giganta would pay for the suffering of plants. Karen Beecher found Zeul's test and was emboldened by Wonder Woman talking to the Super Villains so she tried to talk to Zeul. Zeul recognized her test and stormed off. The night before the celebration about the climax of the restoration project at the Bayfront Park, Toyman sent his toy army to attack Hob's Bay.
Giganta finally showed up but all the fighting was done. She showed up late in Old City as well and was too big to go down the manhole after Toyman. Everyone else was trapped with several giant Cornelius toy robots armed with equally giant bombs. Zatanna used her magic hat to teleport Giganta to them. She used her super strengthen to open the doors so they could escape just in time. The two teams chased Toyman up a set of stairs. They realized they were in the Lexcorp tower where Lena Luthor revealed she was Toyman's ally. Luthor and Toyman piloted the completed Toyman Robot and attacked the two teams. Later in the fight, Zatanna used her hat to transport and propel Giganta into the robot then the others attacked it.
