Ember is a red dragon who can pose as a human and only eats real princesses. She survived into the present day and worked at the Turkey Legs booth at Ye Olde Metropolis Renaissance Faire as a cover to search for her next meal. Kara Danvers caught a whiff of the legs and found the booth. She asked "Amber" for one to go. Ember corrected her but it didn't register. Cruz ordered a corn-on-the-cob-on-a-stick and thanked her. Cruz was surprised Danvers came. They took their food. Danvers called Ember a geek and left. Cruz apologized for her. Ember scanned around and spotted a girl dressed as a princess texting on her phone. Ember left the booth and stalked her around the faire. Ember began to transform as she closed in one the princess but she was interrupted by Danvers, who wanted more turkey legs. Danvers implored her to keep them coming because she was starving. She took plate worth after plate worth of legs. She wanted one more and opened her mouth. Ember complied and put the last leg in her mouth. Ember sighed and noted she did not have a decent meal in centuries.
All the people dressed up as princesses looked bland, tasteless, and nothing but empty calories. She mused she would give anything for an old fashioned, authentic, delicious princess. She sniffed the air and saw Zee Zatara, dressed in a pink princess dress. Ember got excited, drooled a little, and began scheming. She closed the booth. Ember tailed them the whole time. She hid behind a clothes rack and reached for Zatara but at the same time, Prince tested out her sword and inadvertently cut the rope holding up the tent. It collapsed on top of Ember to her dismay. At the falconer event, Ember crept under the bleachers and reached for Zatara but the falcon attacked her and chased her around after Diana Prince told it to find worthy prey. Zatara was aghast and was horrified when some got on her dress. Ember was behind her and was knocked over into the mud. While Zatara sulked, Ember closed in and transformed into a humanoid dragon form. She lunged and tied her up and put a handkerchief around her mouth. Danvers looked around for Zatara and saw her all tied up.
Ember threw a turkey leg at her head and flew off with Zatara, into a tower. Ember prepared to eat her but Supergirl arrived and suggested a knuckle sandwich. Cruz created a bow construct. Gordon brandished bangles. Bumblebee flew up to the tower. Ember thought they took their RPGs too seriously and had no idea who they were cosplaying as. Cruz told her to release the princess and things would end peacefully. An arrow construct formed. Ember stated the only way it was ending was with a princess in her belly. She breathed fire and sent Supergirl packing. The others paused and dove out of the tower just in time to avoid more fire. They landed in a haystack and knew they had no time to waste. Cruz turned to Supergirl and only saw a massive scorched trail. Supergirl exited a Rental Vestments tent dressed as a viking. She grumbled about having to fight magic fire. Bumblebee spotted a mace. Supergirl had never used a weapon before but gave it a shot and flew back to the tower, decking Ember outside. Supergirl liked the mace.
Ember flew back in, tackled Supergirl out of the tower, and threw fireballs at her in the sky. Supergirl knocked them away but Ember generated a large one and blew Supergirl up. She was propelled into the ground. Supergirl charged but Ember generated a black smoke screen and sidestepped her. Gordon dodged her fireballs with her acrobatics then threw her tan-batarangs only for Ember to heat up her body temperature. The batarangs vaporized before they could make contact. Zatara hopped to the window and watched as the battle continued. Cruz made a giant falcon construct and sent it to the tower but Ember formed her fire into a rope, snatched the construct, and slammed it into the ground, dissipating it. Supergirl was not impressed. Ember made a fireball, pushed it into the ground, and four flaming cobra constructs appeared. Supergirl admitted that was slightly more impressive but had no idea what her name was. Ember yelled her name. The girls dodged bat fire constructs while Supergirl batted them away.
Eventually, Ember trapped the girls in a fire cage and returned to the tower. She licked Zatara then paused, groaned, wiped her tongue, and fired fire into her mouth in disgust. She dragged her tongue across the floor then noticed an amazing smell. Outside, Wonder Woman addressed her as a demon and stated she was Diana, daughter of Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons and princess of Themyscira. Ember didn't think she looked like a princess. Zatara reacted. Ember attacked. Wonder Woman shielded herself from her fire, tossed her shield at Ember but it bounced off. Ember formed a gatling gun construct around her arm and fired. Wonder Woman defended herself with her bracelets and gave Ember the slip. While Ember tried to find her in the smoke, she was snagged with the Lasso of Truth and yanked down to the ground. Wonder Woman prematurely declared victory. She breathed fire around her and implored the girls to run.
Ember transformed into a giant dragon and breathed a wave of fire so strong it propelled Wonder Woman backwards into the tower. A fracture went up the middle of the tower. Zatara slid out a window as the tower fell and bounced off several tents to the mud pit. Ember pinned Wonder Woman with a claw and detected delicious fear. Once Zatara liberated herself, she levitated to the battle and declared it was time to fight magic with magic. She cast a spell and it cleaned off her dress. Ember was annoyed and clung to the stereotype of a princess being helpless and weak. Wonder Woman called her a fool and stated princesses were strong and powerful. Zatara cast a spell on Wonder Woman and formed a knight's armor around her. Ember charged. Wonder Woman whistled and leaped onto a horse. They battled but Ember clamped on her shield and pulled it away then breathed fire. Zatara cast a spell on Wonder Woman's sword and empowered it. Wonder Woman and Ember charged each other. They were surrounded in the build up of magic. Zatara saw the silhouette of Ember first but she was petrified then faded away.
