Mitchell Mayo was once Employee of the Month at Burrito Bucket. He got the award many months in a row. Soon, working with Mayo got so intense that the company had to fire him, then he got a job at Big Borger and drove everyone nuts there, too. He screamed at fry cooks about the proper-bun-to-patty ratio and pressed buns on a co-worker's face. He was fired and tossed out by the manager. The same thing repeated at Demand-A-Panda, Y'all Fish and Fish and Chips, and Dr. Pagliacci's Pizza Smoothies. Mayo always insisted on higher quality ingredients and pushed toppings upon toppings upon toppings on customers. He became a fast food pariah and no one would hire him. He lost his mind and squirted mustard and ketchup bottles in his bedroom at his mom's house.

While training Karen Beecher, Barbara Gordon slipped and slammed into the Employee of the Month wall. Beecher inquired who the sole person with all his photographs on the wall was. Gordon informed her he was Mitchell Mayo, the greatest burrito slinger there was and after he left the Employee of the Month was halted because allegedly no one could measure up. O'Shaughnessy decided to keep Beecher and fired Gordon. Gordon lost it and begged for her job back five minutes later. O'Shaughnessy told her she wasn't a bad kid just the worse employee any manager ever had the misfortune of hiring ever. He repeated "ever." She took offense to the last "ever." O'Shaughnessy mused she wouldn't know what a good Burrito Bucket employee looked like. Gordon got an idea and cackled. Gordon located Mayo at a makeshift stand on his mother's driveway. Mitchell's mom was upset his fake stand was blocking her car in. He insisted he was with a customer.

Gordon soon returned with Mayo. There was a thunderclap and he fogged up the door with his breathing before he stepped in. O'Shaughnessy was speechless. Mayo found Beecher making a burrito. She recognized him and pointed out she was following in his footsteps. Mayo didn't take it well and declared she would never be better than him. Beecher confessed she was okay with that. Mayo stated when he worked there, people did things right. He called the Bucket's current state a disgrace and demanded to know where the Bucket Fry was and got intense about the sombrero representing a pretty awesome responsibility. Beecher lied about her break coming up and dashed off. O'Shaughnessy told Gordon the truth about Mayo and how he got blacklisted in the fast food industry. O'Shaughnessy, Gordon, and Beecher hid by the soda fountain. Mayo was insulted by the current state of the workstation and threw things around. He revealed he was now the Condiment King and was now dressed in a costume. O'Shaughnessy crawled away. Gordon yelled she would get help and left.

Batgirl arrived soon after and laughed at Condiment King. He produced his ketchup bottle and stuck her to the glass window. Batgirl cried foul. He then lit the table near her on fire with his mustard bottle. Beecher got his attention with a Babs Special. He called an off menu item blasphemy but he couldn't resist the scent of secret sauce and extra, extra cheese. He took a bite and the whole restaurant was flooded with burrito. He was blinded after the secret sauce got in his eyes. He cursed the 13 original herbs and spices. Batgirl kicked a napkin dispenser over to him. The overstuffed dispenser shot a ton of napkins into his face. Walking blind, he slipped on some grease and fell on his back. O'Shaughnessy peeked out and was dismayed by the mess. To make matters worse, Beecher quit and O'Shaughnessy had no choice but to rehire Gordon. He ordered her to clean up the mess. She tried to get out of it, he threw her a mop, and ordered her to just clean. Gordon asked him if he was going to call the police. She started mopping Condiment King's belly and he groaned.
