The Joker plotted to crash the Gotham City Barbecue Festival and poison everyone with his Killer Hot Sauce. He constructed a giant robot in his likeness at his warehouse headquarters on the outskirts of Gotham City. After ordering some parts from Japan, the Mecha-Joker was finished. Harley Quinn was tired of the lack of attention and sabotaged Joker's plan. Late in the evening on a Thursday, Batman and Nightwing found the warehouse. After the pie bazooka blew up in his face, Joker ran to the Mecha-Joker. He was unaware Harley ruined the control system by spilling papaya smoothie all over it. Then it slipped on the hot sauce and slammed into the ground. Joker bemoaned how expensive it was to build. Harley eventually admitted to what she did but Joker wasn't even mad at her. He vowed to buy another giant robot and claimed the former Soviet Union black market was lousy with them.
