Intergang is an organized crime syndicate based in Metropolis. It was led by Moxie "Boss" Mannheim then later led by his son "Ugly" Mannheim. At one point, Intergang was outfitted with smuggled technology from New Genesis and Apokolips by DeSaad. On October 23rd, Intergang planned to steal a billion dollars worth of gold bullion from the Metropolis Federal Reserve. They utilized a nearby construction site as a cover for their operation. A New Genesis rescue drill was utilized to burrow 18 meters underground to the Reserve's below ground vault. Superboy, Wolf, and the Forever People prevented the theft and pursued Intergang to their weapons cache. Superboy and the Super-Cycle took control of Infinity-Man and disarmed the group.
In late December, Parasite was given an assignment to steal several technological components. Together, they could form a weapon that generates black holes. Parasite would then infiltrate the Large Boson Collider in Geneva, follow instructions saved on a flash drive, and weaponize the Collider. The mission failed when the Team defeated Parasite. Intergang eventually became known for trafficking alien technology through Boom Tubes. Over five years later, Superboy suspected Intergang was the source of an alien bomb used to detonate Malina Island. Along with Blue Beetle, Super-Cycle, and Wolf, Superboy battled Mannheim and Whisper in Washinton, D.C. and Arlington. Mannheim wished to expand Intergang's reach by taking control of Appellaxian Host Bodies on display in the Hall of Justice and turning into a Golem under his control.
