Lois Lane is famous journalist employed by the Daily Planet newspaper in Metropolis. She is also known for her tendency to venture into danger, like volunteering to be a hostage, running around active war zones, or getting in the way of a supervillain. Lane fell in love with Superman and discovered he was her co-worker Clark Kent. They began dating in secret but Lane wanted a normal relationship that involved moving in, marriage, children, and for Superman to stop trying to control her life. She later made contact with Supergirl and acted as a confidante. Upon learning about Brainiac, Lane put in a warning to the Pentagon. After Metropolis was stolen by Brainiac, a miniature Lane flipped off the alien. Once Superman restored the city to normal, Lane was reunited with Kent who kissed her openly in front of everyone. Kent then proposed to her.
