Jonathan and Martha Kent are the adoptive parents of Kal-El. Over 30 years later, they still reside at their farm in Smallville. Kara Zor-El became the latest addition to their family, but Martha Kent came to realize she was too old to grow up the way Kal-El did. And she and Jonathan were too old to raise another child. Martha Kent made it known Kara was welcome anytime to stay with them.
