Arkham Asylum is a rehabilitation facility for criminally insane located in Gotham City. After Joker was kidnapped by Mongul, he asked to be dropped off at the nearest abandoned amusement park three miles south of Arkham. Batman put out word he was transporting Two-Face to Arkham personally to lure out Deadshot, who took up Penguin on his bounty. After the Justice League stopped Poison Ivy from transforming Gotham into a modern day Garden of Eden, Batman took her back to Arkham. The Joker's first clue in his revenge plot against Riddler was contained on the rebus in his video. Riddler deduced the four images were the Sol, mon, grunt, and tee and were all clues pointing to Solomon Grundy. Riddler, Wonder Woman, and Green Arrow went to Arkham Asylum, where Grundy was being held. Riddler opened his room and went in alone despite the others' concern. Grundy accepted his finger trap gift to deal with the boredom. Riddler searched the room and found the next clue under his cot, a club soda. They went to the Iceberg Lounge.
Booster Gold once crank called Arkham Asylum during monitor duty at the Watchtower. He asked if they had Poison Ivy. The operator checked and confirmed they got Poison Ivy. Booster laughed and told her she should fire the gardener.
