The Life-Void Machine is a brutal weapon of insurmountable power devised by Darkseid to amplify the Anti-Life Equation across the universe in waves and reduce all sentient life into mindless shells under his control. He only needed one last piece of the equation but Mr. Miracle stole it and ran away to Earth. Darkseid kidnapped Big Barda and issued an ultimatum to Batman to retrieve the last piece or she would die. After Miracle stole Darkseid's Mother Box and boomed him then freed Barda, Batman wanted to destroy the machine but Lashina, Bernadeth, and Granny Goodness engaged them in battle. Darkseid returned with a swarm of Parademons and forced Batman to call a retreat. Darkseid held out the orb holding the last piece of the equation. A tractor beam from the machine pulled up the orb and integrated it. Darkseid soon realized the orb was switched with one that held Mr. Miracle's laser light show special effects. Darkseid's throne room was lit up and could be seen from space.
