The Kryptonite Ray Gun is a blaster that projects standard Kryptonite radiation. In a scheme to capture the Flash for a bounty, Lobo lured him and Superman to a desert planetoid. From his hiding spot, Lobo fired the gun at Superman then trapped him inside a Kryptonite prison. After Superman attacked an Apokoliptian fleet in the midst of booming to Earth, Kanto blasted him with a Kryptonite Ray from his multifunction gun.
