Lobo is one of the most hated and feared intergalactic bounty hunters in the galaxy. He is infamous for never giving up on a bounty and playing by his own rules. Lobo worked with fellow hunter Jonas in the pursuit of Mister Mind, who had a bounty placed on him by Boss Kack. Lobo used his Red Sun Energy Blaster to take out Superman, Mind's custodian, with one hit. They ended up in the back seat of a Space Cab. Lobo offered to cut Cabbie in on the reward but he declined. As Lobo and Jonas pulled their guns, Cabbie hit the brake and they blasted each other. Not content with being made a chump of, Lobo tossed a Negative Ion Grenade at the Space Cab and disabled its power core. Lobo wasn't planning on sharing the reward and launched an electrified net at Jonas. Lobo set Jonas on his intergalacticycle and sent him packing. Hawkman arrived and knocked Lobo off his Spacehog. Lobo was keen to fight dirty and lured Hawkman to an Abandoned Anthracite Mine where he ambushed him. Superman recharged himself off a nearby yellow sun and saved Hawkman from certain death. The battle continued. Both Lobo and Superman ended up crashing into the hood of the Space Cab.

Lobo grabbed Mister Mind but was forced to drop him in order to have a free hand to shoot. He ended up backing up onto Mind and squashing him in half. Lobo was content with taking the top half to Boss Kack and tossed the lower half to Superman, joking he meant it when he'd split the reward. Lobo whistled for Spacehog and took off. Lobo was unaware of Mind's ability to regenerate until Boss Kack informed him and sent his floating drones after him. Lobo took up a $100,000,000 bounty on the Flash. He devised a plan to lure Superman and Flash to a desert planetoid then ambush them. The duo detected a distress signal and took the bait. Lobo blasted Superman with a Kryptonite Ray Gun then trapped him inside a Kryptonite prison. Lobo proceeded to hunt down the Flash. He poured some of Booster Gold's Old Fashion Hair Grease onto a path and waited. The Flash ran over it unaffected and continued on. Lobo tried stepping on it and slipped into four red cacti. They turned out to be alien creatures and beat him up.

Next, Lobo blocked a path with a boulder then cloaked it. The Flash simply phased through it. Lobo was annoyed and fired his blaster. The shot bounced off the cloaked boulder and knocked Lobo into the same red cacti. They beat him up again. Lobo tried to trick Flash with a burger and planted an explosive underneath. The Flash grabbed the burger but the bomb wasn't triggered. Lobo walked over and it exploded under him. To his annoyance, the separated ledge Flash was still standing despite being separated from the cliff. Lobo plummeted. The Flash hopped over to the cliff and the ledge fell on top of Lobo. Lobo learned the Justice League had a powerful weapon called the Spider Gauntlet in their possession and coveted it. He came with a plan to steal it. First, he stole several newly forged Red Lantern Rings and led the corps to Earth. He sought sanctuary from the League. Naturally, they suspected something. Cyborg's scans were unable to turn up the stolen rings.

As the League contemplated turning Lobo over, the Lanterns made their way into the Watchtower thanks to Dex-Starr. Lobo removed the rings from a hidden compartment in his boots and made it look like he was working for the League then attacked Skallox. The Red Lanterns took the bait and attacked the League. Lobo slipped away and reactivated the Spider Gauntlet with its key. Now armed with the gauntlet, Lobo made short work of the Justice League and Red Lanterns with an energy blast. They put aside their differences and teamed up to take on Lobo. Batman emerged from debris and woke up Dex-Starr. He then tossed a line around Lobo's arm and made him punch himself. As the fell onto the Spacehog, Batman gave Dex-Starr the signal and he emitted a powerful construct from his mouth at Lobo. Atrocitus allowed the League to take Lobo into custody as they provided the edge in battle. He was taken to the League's secure prison at the edge of the galaxy.

Lobo took part in a commercial for Roxy Rocket's new cosmic charter service. He was depicted being lodged in a satellite then Roxy asked the audience if they needed a ride home from a battle, bounty or bachelor party. Lobo tapped the Roxy Rocket app for a ride. Lobo stopped off at a Robo-Gas to fuel up the Spacehog and use the rest room. After he left, Lobo was tailed by Green Lantern Hal Jordan in a Space Cab. Space Cabbie's new navigational system plotted an intercept course but Jordan bounced around an asteroid field and somehow landed on the rear of Spacehog. Lobo had no idea what ring he was talking about. Jordan lost his cool and pummeled Lobo. Before Lobo could retaliate, Jordan kicked the throttle. Lobo threw out his chain and was towed by Spacehog. Jordan took the Spacehog to 15 Gs and made Lobo pass out. He searched Lobo and realized he was telling the truth and didn't have his ring. Without admitting his mistake, Jordan alerted Batman about Lobo. Batman rounded him up and confirmed Lobo was wanted for multiple offenses. Once he calmed down, Lobo told Batman about Jordan losing his ring.
