Steve Trevor is a teenager who lives in Metropolis. He works at his father's business, Capes & Cowls Cafe, but wants to be a pilot. Trevor is a childhood friend of aspiring reporter Lois Lane. When Wonder Woman met him for the first time, she complemented his braces and admired his tidiness. Distracted, Trevor dropped a bottle of chutney. Wonder Woman helped open a jar of jam for him. She couldn't stop thinking about him and was confused by that. The following week, Trevor received an award for his efforts to feed the poor. A few weeks later, some students from CAD Academy were up to their usual delinquent acts. Ratcatcher threw some traps on the floor to trip up Trevor. Wonder Woman caught him then grabbed the contents of his tray along with Hawkgirl. Depite Lane's warning, Wonder Woman asked them to apologize to Trevor. He even tried to intervene and say he was okay but the CAD students mocked him. Captain Cold aimed his Cold Gun on Trevor and made him drop to the floor shivering.
Wonder Woman had enough and used her Lasso of Truth on each them and made them admit what their biggest fear was then apologize. Over a week later, Trevor was still on Wonder Woman's mind. She confided in Katana who laughed and realized Wonder Woman had a crush on him. Weeks passed. Trevor, on behalf of the Metropolis Family Farm volunteer group, appeared in the video announcing Poison Ivy as the Hero of the Month to thank her for helping create a place for those in need to get wholesome fresh food. During the 100th Annual Super Triathlon, Trevor slipped a note to Lane to give to Wonder Woman. In the note, he wished her and the team the best of luck. He would be watching the competition on TV and no matter what happened, he would treat her to a free smoothie afterwards. Supergirl noticed how he and Wonder Woman had a crush on each other. While they were tongue tied, a cook tried to tell Trevor an order was ready. Supergirl gave Trevor a nudge but instead sent him flying into a table where three CAD Academy students were sitting.
After Batgirl started attending Super Hero High, the CAD Academy students continued to terrorize Trevor. Captain Cold froze the floor and made him slip and fall as he walked by his table. Ratcatcher tried his luck and threw a trap out but Wonder Woman whipped it away with her lasso. To celebrate Batgirl saving the world from the Calculator, Katana went to pick up a cake from Capes & Cowls. Over an hour passed so the girls called up the cafe. Trevor told them Katana had picked up the cake.
The day before the end of the semester, Bumblebee rescued Trevor from Killer Croc, who tried to steal a lot of tuna fish sandwiches. In the scuffle, the smoothie machine was damaged by one of her stings and Trevor couldn't make her a honey smoothie. Bumblebee left and returned with a Solar Reconflabulator to repair the machine. Trevor made her a honey smoothie on the house. At 8 pm, Trevor was grabbed by Giganta after he tried to tell her she accidentally grabbed Lois Lane's order. Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, and Lady Shiva intervened. Wonder Woman ordered Giganta to put Trevor down so she dropped him. Wonder Woman saved him. He flubbed his words saying he was always falling for her but corrected himself that she was always catching him. Then he added he thought she was a good superhero and liked how brave and strong she was. He corrected himself again and simply thanked her. He cheered on Wonder Woman as the battle began. Trevor, Lane, and Commissioner Gordon followed the battle into Centennial Park and found the trio had defeated Giganta. Trevor asked if it was safe.
Trevor accidentally got Ivy's order wrong and gave her medium whole milk instead of skim. Frankie, her defensive plant pet, growled, jumped on the table then launched itself on Trevor's face. He went backwards onto another table. Wonder Woman struggled to pull Frankie from Trevor. On the day of the Hero of the Year ceremony, Batgirl and Bumblebee went to Capes & Cowls and asked Trevor if he saw the villain Dark Opal around. He looked at a picture but said he didn't see Opal. Trevor fended off Green Kryptomites with his mop but Batgirl and Flash came to his rescue. Flash collected every Kryptomite in a trash can. A Red Kryptomite walked up behind Trevor and made him angry with its radiation. Trevor declared he hated working at the cafe and started smashing things behind the counter. Trevor was voted "Favorite Off-Campus Friend" in the Super Hero High School Yearbook. He left a message thanking the students for their efforts in saving the cafe from 52 robberies, 13 super-villain takeovers, 3 giant attacks, and one scary spider. After awhile, Trevor developed a routine with Wonder Woman every morning. He would stand outside the cafe and hold up a muffin. Like clockwork, Wonder Woman would fly by and grab it at the same time every day.
Supergirl included Trevor in her comic book project for June Moone's art class. While he was deliverying Superfood Cakes to the Best Friends of Ultimate Awesomeness and Extreme Coolness (Batgirl and Supergirl), Trevor's plane was shot at by Killer Moth in his Mothjet. Trevor came upon Themyscira and was saved by Wonder Woman but Moth tied them up and prepared to drop them into a volcano for refusing to hand over the cakes. Trevor professed he like-liked Wonder Woman and tried to kiss her but the Best Friends arrived in search of their cakes. After they saved the day, everyone had cakes. Wonder Woman thought it was sweet. Trevor stated he was sweeter. Wonder Woman objected and didn't think Trevor like-liked her. Supergirl emphasized it was just a story.
