Magpie was a member of the Birds of Prey band along with Black Canary and Black Condor. They attempted to get Magpie to change her name to Black Crow but she refused. The Birds of Prey competed in Portal Coffee Shop's Battle of the Band! competition to defend their title of reigning champions and they wanted the grand prize: the Batjet. The battle turned into a real battle. Magpie swung her guitar at Miss Martian but she preferred to end things peacefully and utilized her invisibility and flying powers to avoid Magpie.
While the discovery of a portal to the Underworld distracted the Super Hero High supers, Canary, Condor, and Magpie stole the Batjet. They made it to Smallville and ran out of fuel. Magpie was distracted by Wonder Woman's shiny bracelets and Batgirl tied her up. All captured, Magpie vented and went on a tirade about how Black Canary blamed everything on her like stealing the Batjet for their tour. The Smallville Special Crimes Unit took them into custody.
(Novels only) Magpie is a student at CAD Academy and was the fourth member of the 100th Annual Super Triathlon team. Before the opening ceremony, CAD tried stirring up Super Hero High but Magpie stopped and wanted to settle things on the field but her lips curled into an evil grin. At the Triathlon's conclusion, Magpie won the Triathlete of the Year award. Captain Cold, Ratcatcher, and Magpie did break dancing for Harley's Dance-O-Rama then heavy metal for her Battle of the Bands.
