A laboratory accident gave Frost the ability to freeze anything she touched and to generate intense blasts of cold. Unfortunately, she must feed off heat energy to power her wintry ways. While it may seem like Frost has an icy personality, she actually keeps her distance so that she doesn't steal her friends' body heat. Originally from New York, Frost went to Super Hero High School. She is roommates with Star Sapphire, Miss Martian, and Lady Shiva. She is a member of the Science Club.
Frost attended the party celebrating Wonder Woman's first supervillain defeat. She won Hero of the Month after Katana. Frost woke at 7 one morning in need of heat to recharge her powers but her room mates got in her way. They drank all the hot tea, used up all the hot water in the showers, and broke her heat lamp. Frost was fed up and froze Flash, Bumblebee, Miss Martian, Supergirl, and Katana outside her room after they trampled her lamp. She brooded in her room. Shiva and Sapphire sent Miss Martian inside to read her mind and see what was wrong. After realizing Miss Martian had heat vision, Frost got an idea. Miss Martian perodically heated a block ice in the common area for Frost.
Frost caught a cold and with each sneeze, froze anyone and anything in her path by accident. She didn't want to miss Poison Ivy's big show and went. As Ivy's flowers danced across a pond, Frost sneezed and froze them. Frost, Starfire, Lady Shiva, and Wonder Woman held their position and prepared to defeat Firefly but Frost sneezed. Firefly, his hostage, and a police helicopter in pursuit were frozen. Starfire and Wonder Woman went to work thawing them out and Shiva ordered Frost to bed. Batgirl, Bumblebee, and Ivy overheard Frost's sneezes and investigated her dorm room. It was totally frozen. They spent the rest of the day and the entire night tending to Frost with treatments like honey tea, kale juice and a humidifier. By the next morning, Frost was back to normal and in good spirits again. Batgirl, Ivy, and Bumblebee, however, caught her cold.
The day before semester finals, Frost served out her detention in the afternoon. After school, she went to Harley Quinn's party. During Spring Break, as part of Task Force X class, Frost and Katana were given a special assignment by Principal Waller to guard Belle Reve Penitentiary after Lashina's plans for a jail break were intercepted. Frost wanted to go over their strategies again and started with reciting a successful mission was all about expecting the unexpected. Suddenly, Lashina boomed to Belle Reve and breached a building with her tank. Frost formed an ice slide to the breach. Lashina placed an Agony Matrix on a prison guard named Brian and gave the supers two minutes to find him. They freed Big Barda, who claimed she knew how to disable the matrix. Frost went alone to stop Lashina from escaping with Stompa and Mad Harriet. She pinned Stompa to the ceiling and Harriet to the wall but Lashina latched her whip onto one of Frost's arms and electrocuted her. Katana, Barda, and Brian arrived in time, forcing Lashina to retreat empty handed. They told Waller about how Barda helped them. Frost later wrote a report about the incident and titled it "My Spring Break."
Frost was getting tired of the sonic booms generated from Wonder Woman and Supergirl's grudge match race on the Flight Track. She proposed a no super powers street race through a route through Metropolis back to Super Hero High. That night, Frost dropped the checkered flag and the girls took off. Batgirl deferred to Frost and her knowledge of chemistry to help make more of June Moone's Magic Paint. Frost could make part of the solution but needed organic materials to fully replicate it. Batgirl got the rest of the ingredients from Poison Ivy. Supergirl, Batgirl, Frost, and Ivy went to deliver the new paint to Harley but they were captured by Enchantress and locked in a closet. For the summer, Frost got a job at Capes & Cowls Cafe. Halfway through summer, Frost messed up another order - Catwoman's medium milk - by freezing it. Trevor stepped in and gave Catwoman a coupon for a free drink. Frost thanked him for giving her a chance but wasn't sure the job was working out. Trevor pointed out snow cone sales were up 600 percent even though it wasn't on the menu.
At the last second, Frost created an ice shield to stop an arrow fired from brainwashed god Apollo. Frost quit and took off after him. Trevor caught her apron and was relieved. During the battle between supers and gods outside Super Hero High, Frost froze Apollo's feet while Cheetah got him in a head lock. In the battle against Ares, Frost went under Strife's sway and fought Katana with a sword made of ice then froze her sword. Later in the following semester, Frost, Starfire, and Steve Trevor were told a funny story about Hercules by Ares. Catwoman stole the Amulet of Harmonia off of him by throwing out a Pollen Grenade. They watched as an enraged Ares grew into a giant and marched onto the city. Frost propped up a falling building with ice while Flash evacuated people. She tried to freeze Ares' feet but he turned and blasted her with flames. Frost practiced for her Flyer's Ed test with Wonder Woman and her Invisible Jet. Frost had a hard time getting the hang of piloting it.
Wonder Woman tried to advise her to relax but she couldn't stop thinking she was in a huge, fast, and invisible jet. During a morning run, they were attacked by Killer Moth. Frost accidentally fired inside the cockpit. She got an idea and ejected in the Turbo seat then fired on the Mothjet. After the Invisible Jet was downed in the harbor, Frost froze it to stop it from sinking. She landed the Turbo seat atop the Jet's ice block then froze the Mothjet out of midair. Supergirl and Batgirl arrived and helped liberate Wonder Woman. She thanked Frost but was told it was thanks to the Hydrogen bonding properties that created a lattice structure below 32 degrees Farenheit. Frost then asked to borrow the Turbo seat for her Flyer's Ed test. Wonder Woman obliged her then they set off to take Killer Moth to the authorities. Frost took part in target practice with Cyborg, Starfire, and Bumblebee. As they fired at targets made out of villains, they were unaware Cheetah was in the hedges and kept firing.
Frost, Wonder Woman, and Bumblebee found an irate Giganta standing outside a condo in a pink dress. Giganta accused a girl on the balcony of stealing one of her earrings but the girl denied it. After the girl was secured, Giganta refused to back down. She stomped the ground which caused the parked cars to bounce up into the air. She swatted a police car into Frost's ice bridge. Frost froze the street under her feet and Giganta fell on her back. Frost then fashioned giant hand cuffs made of ice on her wrists. Wonder Woman realized her Lasso of Truth was missing. The Super Hero High Dance Committee, consisting of Supergirl, Katana, Harley Quinn, Frost, and Bumblebee, met at Capes & Cowls to discuss the spring dance. Harley as adamant about it going down without a hitch in light of the "dance" with Korugar Academy. Frost asked her chill out with the yelling. Everyone volunteered to do something. Harley pointed out the ratio of single tickets sold compared to couples tickets was way outta whack. She wanted to boost numbers with match making. Frost didn't think any good came from interfering in other peoples' love lives.
The next night, Harley Quinn, Frost, and Katana were almost done setting up for the spring dance with two hours and 33 minutes to go before it started. Deadshot and Plastique ran into them after stealing from the Weaponomics Vault. Frost froze them but Plastique exploded herself and Deadshot free. Deadshot threw out the Multi-Blast Shocker for cover. Waller found Harley, Katana, and Frost and a big mess. She naturally demanded to know what happened. She asked Harley if she mixed Soder cola and Kaboom Candy again. Harley didn't like being accused and described Deadshot by how he smelled, of kettle corn and caramel apples, and his go-to phrase of "blasted buttons." They checked surveillance footage in Waller's office. Waller realized she was tricked by Lawton. Harley noted she was too good for the bozo. Frost told her it wasn't her fault for letting them in the vault to her confusion. Waller, Katana, Harley, and Frost opened the vault. Waller ripped out the blue wire with a second to spare.
Frost triggered the Save The Day Alarm and they set off for the Daily Planet with Katana, Batgirl, and Harley. Katana, Frost, and Flash split off to get Deadshot. Katana deflected Deadshot's blast with her katana while Flash ran up from behind and stripped him of his gauntlet blasters then Frost froze him in place. During the tree lighting ceremony at Super Hero High, Supergirl went missing. Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Mera, and Frost traced her communication bracelet to the North Pole and found her in trouble against Captain Cold. Frost and Cold traded shots and insults but neither could land a hit. Cold ran for it but Frost generated a winding staircase. Cold created a slide then ran from Mera and Frost. Reaching a shoreline, Cold held a Cold Gun to a polar bear's head.
Mera waived a finger behind her back and moved a wave of water onto Cold then Frost froze Cold in it. Mera and Frost high-fived to teamwork. Supergirl tried out her crystal and it generated a giant crystalline building. Frost likened it to a Krypton away from Krypton. Supergirl recalled her mother's words and decided it was a gift to share with her friends, a Fortress of Solidarity.
Novels only For a Weaponomics demonstration, she froze the Fox's Fiends robots, absorbed the heat from the burning forest, raced up to the cave, and froze the lethal gas cannister to finish the objective. The gas crystallized into pellets and dispersed safely in the wind. She was chosen to serve on the team participating in the 100th Annual Super Triathlon. In the earth challenge of the A/P Test, Frost made a perfectly mole sized ice tunnel slide for the moles to use to get to point B. In the fire challenge, Frost froze the Fire Trolls' fireball attacks and attempted to fortify the fireworks bunker with sheets of ice but accidentally shot an icicle missile at Captain Cold of the CAD Academy. Cold intercepted it with a blast from his Cold Gun and knocked her over. During the burlap sack race, Frost froze the twister while the team was up in the air and Katana shattered it. For Liberty Belle's Natural Disaster Project, Flash and Frost chose blizzards. For a natural disaster themed Save the Day drill, Parasite was rescued from an avalanche in the Swiss Alps by Cyborg, Star Sapphire, and Frost.
During natural disaster detail, Frost harnessed ice from avalanches then El Diablo used pyrokinesis to melt it and feed it into rivers. In the Honeycomb Hall battle, the Flash taunted Queen Bee's giant mutant bees and led them on a chase right to Frost who froze them.
