The Flash is the fastest teenage superhero around and fine with sharing his civilian identity of Barry Allen. From Central City, he attends Super Hero High to hone his crime-fighting and forensics skills, as well as to master his fleet-footed running abilities. He is a member of the Science Club, Metropolis Junior Detective Society, and Track Team. Flash has a bad habit of following his hunches at super-speed. For a Save the Day alarm, teachers hurled poisonous projectiles at a vacant bank. The Flash swept in at the last second and saved the day before Bumblebee and Golden Glider. He attended the party celebrating Wonder Woman's first victory over a supervillain. The junior detectives investigated suspicious attempts to break into the Boom Tubes room.

On the night of Supergirl's first day, the Flash attempted to catch the culprit red handed but by the time he got there, he was gone. Once Poison Ivy identified evidence found near the Tubes as bamboo, Flash began to suspect Vice Principal Grodd. After the next attempt, Flash made it known he thought it was Grodd but Hawkgirl pointed out they didn't have enough hard evidence to make such an accusation. During the siege of Super Hero High, Flash briefly fought Mad Harriet. After Granny Goodness and her underlings were dispatched to Belle Reve Penitentiary and Juvenile Detention Center, Flash apologized to Grodd for misjudging him. Grodd gave the junior detectives detention then said he was joking and advised them to lighten up. He punched Flash in the shoulder and walked away. Flash teamed up with Cyborg in a tennis doubles match against Katana and Supergirl.

Hawkgirl, Flash and Batgirl spent a night rounding up cats, that happened to be released by Riddler as part of ploy to ask Batgirl out to the dance. Hawkgirl lamented there were real crimes to take care of. After following a clue on the last cat to the clock tower and rescuing a man, they followed the next clue to the Centennial Park Rose Garden but Hawkgirl and Flash were caught in a net.

On the day before semester finals, Flash served out his detention in the afternoon. Flash, Starfire, and Bumblebee did some studying by using flashcards. Bumblebee got hungry and left with 765 left to go. After school, he attended Harley Quinn's party. Flash was one of the nominees for Hero of the Year. He helped decorate campus and took part in Crazy Quilt's production number. The following semester, on a Friday morning, Flash saw Wonder Woman in the hall and asked her if she would be going to the Heroball game on Monday. Over the weekend, Flash and Beast Boy planned to log in some time playing "Craft of Warworld" but the stolen Batjet case became a priority. Batgirl summoned the Metropolis Junior Detective Society to help go over the case. After they found a strand of pink hair from a wig, Flash was quick to jump Grodd and finally reveal he wore a toupee. Grodd angrily denied wearing one and stormed off. Bumblebee opted to pretend not to know the Flash. They searched the Theater Department but Ravager was offended by the intrusion. They discovered the costume room in disarray. Flash found Etrigan's copy of "The Odyssey" and mused he stole the Batjet.

Flash pointed out Flash was a demon and a supervillain but the girls reminded him Etrigan went through Waller's program for former villains and reformed. Still, he suspected Etrigan wrecked his own classroom to cover his tracks. Batgirl invoked Occam's Razor and proposed someone was after Etrigan. Ivy, Batgirl, Harley, Wonder Woman, Katana, Hawkgirl, Flash, and Bumblebee raced to Portal Coffee Shop and helped Supergirl's team end the Battle of the Bands. Flash then went after the Batjet on Batgirl's team. Flash ran circles around Black Canary but her scream was too powerful. Supergirl, with Soundproof Headphones on, disarmed Canary and the Birds of Prey were caged. Beast Boy and Flash returned to Super Hero High with the Invisible Jet. Flash was voted "Worst Student I.D. Picture" in the Super Hero High School Yearbook. Wonder Woman invited Flash to join her at Mount Olympus for the summer but he cited having track practice to attend. Halfway through the summer, Flash joined the fight against gods invading the city.

Flash outran Apollo's arrow while Frost and Cheetah neutralized him. He tried to tie up Ares' legs but succombed to Strife's spell of discord. He clashed with Cheetah about who would be the fastest at Super Hero High. Supergirl came to just before she was about to throw Flash upon hearing Wonder Woman talking about their friendship. Later in the semester, Flash heard a Save the Day alarm and ran to Batgirl's Bat Bunker at Capes & Cowls to volunteer his help. A tremor generated by Ares up above threatened a cave-in. On Batgirl's orders, Flash gathered up what he could - a laptop and books - then left with her in the Mobile HQ. They picked up Harley, Ivy, Frost, and Lady Shiva from Super Hero High. As Supergirl battled Ares, Frost held up a falling building with a column of ice while Flash extracted the people inside. He did it again after Ares hit another building. To his and Batgirl's surprise, Miss Martian revealed she had psionic powers and used them to locate the Amulet.

Flash ran ahead to Catwoman's dorm to study her vault. Once Batgirl and Miss Martian arrived, Flash revealed it had a visual scanner that would only open for Catwoman. Again to their surprise, Miss Martian revealed she could shapeshift and posed as Catwoman. Flash took the Amulet from Batgirl and ran back to the city. As Bumblebee explained its power, Catwoman leaped from overhead and claimed she thought it was just a cool necklace. Flash blamed her for everything that happened. Bumblebee broke them up. After Christmas, the Flash attended Hal Jordan's going away party and helped take down Solomon Grundy by running circles and spinning him around. Sinestro suddenly arrived to "recruit" his Korugar Academy dream team and sent a cheetah construct after Flash. He tried to outrun it through the city but the construct cut him off and enveloped him then transformed into a slab. He was freed after Jessica Cruz, the new Green Lantern, defeated Sinestro and took his ring off. Flash volunteered to help with dance lessons but Supergirl accidentally spun him into the stage.

The Flash offered to help out Wonder Woman and took Krypto with him to Centennial Park to try and tire him out. When the Flash ordered food from a cart, Krypto went off on his own. Flash searched all over the park but couldn't find him. Hawkgirl found the Flash at the fountain in Centennial Park and asked what sort of criminal mischief was happening. Flash tried to lie and say nothing was wrong but she got the feeling that something bad happened. Flash broke down and confessed he lost Krypto then asked her to throw him in detention. Hawkgirl didn't think it was worth her superior detective skills but agreed to help him anyway. Flash thanked her. Bumblebee joined them and they found a broken hydrant near Super Hero High. Flash found paw prints. Bumblebee shrank and deduced Krypto kicked it with his back legs. Flash realized that was right towards school. Bumblebee speculated he was going back in search of Supergirl. Flash feared he might have went to Oa. Hawkgirl found that illogical. They took off to continue the investigation and found Moxie with Krypto's collar.

The Flash volunteered to go into the Metropolis Animal Control Center and get Krypto himself. Despite Hawkgirl's objection, he went in with only his charming personality. He was promptly escorted outside after he failed to produce proper indentification that proved he was Krypto's owner. Hawkgirl had a better plan and sent Bumblebee. Flash pretended to be attacked by Moxie, a "stray wild dog" who wouldn't stop licking him. Once the warden came outside, Flash ran off to Super Hero High with Moxie. Flash loved her puppies and suggested taking them inside and feeding them but Krypto suddenly took off. Bumblebee and Hawkgirl left the puppies in Flash's care. As Batgirl prepared her spaceship for launch, Flash left Moxie and the puppies with Vice Principal Grodd then ran into the ship. Wonder Woman captured Krypto in space then boarded the ship. Flash was eager to go home for snacks but Krypto barked about Oa. They battled the Kryptonian terraformer robots. They were no match for Flash's speed and couldn't hit him.

Back on Earth, Flash adopted one of Moxie's puppies and named it Zoomer. Supergirl set up a play date with Krypto and some of the puppies. Grodd heard about it and requested his pup, Bamboo, to be allowed to join or else he would give out detention. Flash quickly accepted Bamboo to the date. Harley Quinn wanted to boost couples ticket sales to Super Hero High's spring dance. Harley presented the Flash to Lois Lane and Batgirl outside the greenhouse. Flash asked Lane to the dance. She agreed to go with him. He suggested they meet at 7 then he sped off. Lane suspected Harley was playing matchmaker but she feigned innocence. That night, Flash was one of the Supers who responded to the Save The Day Alarm and went to the Daily Planet with Wonder Woman and Lady Shiva. Katana, Frost, and Flash split off to get Deadshot. Katana deflected Deadshot's blast with her katana while Flash ran up from behind and stripped him of his gauntlet blasters then Frost froze him in place. Lois Lane danced with Flash at the spring dance but he worried the music was too slow.

Novels only For Liberty Belle's Natural Disaster Project, Flash and Frost chose blizzards. For a natural disaster themed Save the Day drill, Liberty Belle was rescued while hiking through an earthquake in Red Rocks by Flash, Cheetah, and Katana. In the Honeycomb Hall battle, the Flash taunted Queen Bee's giant mutant bees and led them on a chase right to Frost who froze them.
