Cheetah wants nothing more than to rule Super Hero High with an iron paw. She's very charismatic and that's what draws the other girls to her. But watch out, she's not afraid to cheat to get her way, just like her name suggests. Get it? She's a cheat'ah. Hailing from Nottinghamshire, England, Cheetah considers herself superior to her classmates at Super Hero High and often does whatever it takes to get attention and praise she thinks she deserves. She's considered one of Super Hero High's most competitive students. Her determination makes her a star on the Heroball field. Cheetah's specialty is making quick strikes.
Hippolyta hired the highly recommended Professor Minerva to locate the three missing relics known as the Amulet of Harmonia, Lasso of Truth, and Claw of Deceit. Barbara Ann ignored her mother's instructions to stay outside and sneaked into the palace and found them. Princess Diana tried to greet her, but Professor Minerva scolded her. Barbara Ann countered she was never called "Bobbi" like she wanted. Professor Minerva gave her the stare. Barbara Ann stormed off. Hippolyta promised Diana would make sure she would remain safe but Professor Minerva stated her daughter was to be her dig assistant. Hippolyta continued and warned Minerva the relics were protected by magic and only she could touch them. Barbara Ann became interested in the legend behind the Claw of Deceit in particular and recited it but Professor Minerva only responded by saying Princess Diana probably didn't bother Queen Hippolyta when she was working on something. Barbara Ann started to dislike Diana.
Eventually, Minerva found them in a cavern near the shore. She left to alert Hippolyta but told Barbara Ann not to touch anything. She ignored her. Barbara Ann picked up the Lasso of Truth and Claw of Deceit, which activated the magic curse. An illusion of Cerberus manifested and attacked her. Princess Diana came to her rescue and used the Lasso of Truth. Unable to withstand its power, the illusion disappeared. Minerva lied to her mother about touching anything while Diana confessed to touching the Lasso. Hippolyta declared her honesty and true heart proved she was meant to use the Lasso of Truth. Diana promised to honor it and use it for good. Barbara Ann sneaked off into the jungle alone and touched tip of the Claw. She transformed into the Cheetah. Her gloating was interrupted by Professor Minerva calling out for her. She changed back into a normal human girl, hid the Claw, and ran back.
Despite a speed limit of 25 miles per hour in hallways, Cheetah sped around. Wonder Woman stepped on her tail and stopped her in her tracks. Cheetah called Wonder Woman a newbie and ran off with Hawkgirl, the hall monitor, in hot pursuit. During a Flyer's Education course, Cheetah took a cat nap near the course and supplied a doctor's note to excuse her presence. She secretly used a remote to sabotage Wonder Woman's safety belt when it was her turn to fly the course. As a result, Wonder Woman got a score of zero. In Weaponomics class, Cheetah used Catwoman's Cat of Nine Tails to sabotage Wonder Woman's demonstration of her lasso. It got worse when the lasso caught their teacher Mr. Fox and made him confess several things. Cheetah avoided any infractions and Wonder Woman was given detention for not controlling her weapon. Cheetah is a member of the Band Club and Track Team.
Desperate to be Hero of the Month, Cheetah sabotaged Lucius Fox's Invisible Jetpack and planned to save him. On the end of the semester, she scaled the school but Wonder Woman and Bumblebee saved Fox instead. Wonder Woman noticed her clutched to the gem and offered her the Lasso of Truth to grab hold of. Cheetah resisted and fell. Luckily, Wonder Woman caught her with the lasso. As a result, Cheetah admitted to the subterfuge and plotting against Wonder Woman all semester long. Amanda Waller and Lucius Fox assigned her lot's of detention. On Supergirl's first day, Cheetah was part of the supers who responded to the Save the Day alarm triggered by Killer Croc. Rather than helping, Cheetah was more focused on beating the high score in a game on her cell phone. She was annoyed when Croc wrecked her phone. After the battle, Cheetah went to Barbara Gordon, whom she called a "nonnie," to fix her phone. Gordon determined it was beyond repair and lent her Barbara Assembled Tech. She was disgusted it had no apps.
Cheetah was in the same P.E. class as Supergirl and saw her botched strength test even though it was because Beast Boy lost his balance. During the next Save the Day, Cheetah taunted Supergirl. As a result, Supergirl lost her confidence and accidentally hit Bumblebee in the leg with her heat vision. Cheetah restricted Giganta's sight by wrapping her hair around her face and then was carried away by Hawkgirl. In defense of Super Hero High against Granny Goodness, Cheetah fought against Mad Harriet. When Cheetah fell over, the Barbara Assembled Tech fell out. It activated and blasted Harriet in the face. Cheetah tackled and stuffed her into a locker. She blew the phone like a gun and walked away. The next day, after Granny and her goons were sent to Belle Reve Penitentiary and Juvenile Detention Center, Cheetah thanked Gordon by name for the tech.
Upset Frost won Hero of the Month before her, Cheetah schemed to get nominated. She had Harley Quinn hold up Capes & Cowls Cafe with a disguise then she would enter and save the day. Wonder Woman botched it. She built a giant rampaging robot but lost her remote control while fighting it and her ruse was found out by Batgirl, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman. Cheetah heard Solomon Grundy was attacking a senior center but at that point, no one believed her. She went alone and tied up Grundy with a large ball of yarn. Grundy revealed he was there because it was open mic night and he wanted to recite a poem. Cheetah let him go.
On the day before semester finals, Cheetah and Wonder Woman sparred in Wildcat's P.E. class. Cheetah lost. In the afternoon, she went to detention. Cheetah spurred Poison Ivy to prove herself and make the biggest wildest plant for finals. After school, she went to Harley Quinn's party. During decorating for Hero of the Year, Crazy Quilt scolded Cheetah and ordered her to return the award to wherever she found it. She turned around and muttered. Cheetah took part in Crazy Quilt's production number for Hero of the Year but she wasn't improving. Quilt compromised with Waller's request for more students to help guard campus by giving her Cheetah. The following semester, on a Friday, Cheetah guarded the entrance to the Theater Department because Ravager was conducting a closed rehearsal. Wonder Woman and Harley used the Lasso of Truth to question her about theft of the Batjet but she knew nothing. Hawkgirl later demanded entrance for the Metropolis Junior Detective Society but Cheetah refused.
They sneaked in through the auditorium but Hawkgirl's wings got caught in the curtain. Ravager ordered Cheetah, Star Sapphire, and Mammoth to act. Cheetah chased after Flash. Captured, Batgirl explained the situation. To Ravager's surprise, someone left the costume room a complete mess. Cheetah was voted "Most Ferociously Fashionable" in the Super Hero High School Yearbook. Cheetah was revolted when Wonder Woman invited her to spend the summer at Mount Olympus. In reality, she had to attend summer school. Halfway through summer, Cheetah was relieved by a save the day alarm and couldn't wait to leave school. She jumped on the brainwashed Apollo's shoulders and got him in a headlock. The supers went into the city and battled Ares but his sister Strife cast her spell of discord and they fought each other. Cheetah and Flash clashed over who would be the fastest at Super Hero High. She also fought Catwoman briefly.
Cheetah sneaked into Lucius Fox's classroom one night to steal the answers to the midterm. She was caught in the Lasso of Truth by Wonder Woman, who happened to be working on a stakeout project with Bumblebee. Fox entered the room and asked what was going on. Cheetah told the truth and added she did so before every test. Fox was about to issue a month of detention but Cheetah added she thought his sweater vest was nerdy. He added another month. Cheetah had enough and attempted to steal the Lasso. She tried by the dorms but nearly got it caught in a door. She tried target practice but was nearly blasted by Starfire, Frost, Cyborg, and Bumblebee. She tried at a balcony but Wonder Woman flew away and Cheetah fell over the railing into the bushes. She stole Giganta's earring in her human form. Giganta stood outside her condo and accused her. Cheetah denied it and threatend to call her lawyer. Frost, Wonder Woman, and Bumblebee arrived but Giganta was adamant she was right and grabbed Cheetah.
Bumblebee blasted Giganta's hand and Wonder Woman caught her. Wonder Woman sensed something familiar about her but she lied about being a new girl in town. She stole the Lasso without notice just as Giganta grabbed her. While they neutralized Giganta, Barbara Ann returned to her condo and stored the Lasso in her bedroom closet above Giganta's earring. She turned back into Cheetah and gloated about her plan to get revenge and use it on Wonder Woman. Cheetah found her and lied to her about needing help finding the Lasso then led her to the sewers. Cheetah attacked her with the Lasso. Wonder Woman asked for it and promised she would put this behind them. Cheetah declared she was tired of being shown up day after day. Wonder Woman insisted she didn't mean to. Cheetah managed to lasso her and started recording from her phone but Wonder Woman's only regret was they weren't friends. Cheetah couldn't believe it and concluded the Lasso didn't work on her.
The others tracked them down with the Super Hero High Bus' tech and dropped down into the sewer after laser cutting the street. Cheetah didn't think anyone could be that good. Wonder Woman put her hand on Cheetah's shoulder and contended anyone could if they wanted to be. Wonder Woman met with Waller and Grodd in the principal's office about the incident. Wonder Woman told them she forgave Cheetah and wanted her to have another chance. Waller speculated the school could help influence her take the right path but Grodd was skeptical. Now that Waller knew of Cheetah's villainous leanings, she kept a close eye on her. A levitating bot supervised Cheetah as she carried out her punishment performing janitorial duties in place of Parasite. The bot projected a hologram of Waller and told Cheetah she missed a spot. Cheetah grumbled and continued. Cheetah judged the Pet Show with Grodd and Wildcat.
(Novels only) Cheetah was on the student committee for the Super Triathlon and nominated Wonder Woman to be on the team because even she knew that was the school's best chance at winning. Cheetah, however, was considered a frontrunner for the team. During one of Coach Wildcat's relay races, Wonder Woman was distracted by the anonymous threats and made a sharp turn, bumping into Cheetah. Cheetah landed on a rock and hurt one of her legs. The Shock Sticks they used instead of batons caused a rock fall, Wonder Woman carried her off to safety. Rumors of a rivalry began. Principal Waller and Coach Wildcat approached Cheetah to be their eyes and ears at the Triathlon and monitor the team. Before the finale, Cheetah caught Golden Glider trying to steal the Lasso of Truth. Right when Cheetah snatched it back, the team returned to the locker room and Cheetah was suspected of being the one threatening Wonder Woman all along. After the Triathlon was over and Golden Glider was found out, Cheetah explained everything to Wonder Woman.
For Liberty Belle's Natural Disaster Project, Cyborg and Cheetah chose avalanches. For a natural disaster themed Save the Day drill, Liberty Belle was rescued while hiking through an earthquake in Red Rocks by Flash, Cheetah, and Katana.
