During Wonder Woman's daydream about "The Odyssey," Black Canary was one of the Sirens that the heroes encountered along with Silver Banshee. The heroes did not listen to their singing and continued on. At some point, now out of school, Black Canary formed a band called the Birds of Prey with Black Condor and Magpie. They even got a tour bus and went around winning competitions. They attempted to repeat another win at Portal Coffee Shop's Battle of the Bands! but Black Canary was more interested in the grand prize, the Batjet on account of Condor stinking up the tour bus. She wasn't impressed with Supergirl, Miss Martian, and Beast Boy and discounted them as another teenage wannabe band. She was confident the Birds would win. The battle soon erupted into a scream match between Canary and Silver Banshee. Supergirl called Wonder Woman and Batgirl for help. They brought Harley Quinn, Katana, Ivy, Bumblebee, Flash, and Hawkgirl with them.
Black Canary swung her mic at Supergirl but was wrapped up in it. While the supers investigated a portal to the Underworld, Black Canary got free and stole the Batjet with Condor and Magpie. Batgirl, Supergirl, Ivy, Hawkgirl, and Flash went after them. Over Smallville, Black Canary finally got annoyed with Batgirl's pleas. However, the Batjet ran out of fuel. Supergirl stopped it from crashing into the Kent Farm. Canary, Condor, and Magpie fled on foot. Flash ran circles around Black Canary as she tried to get a bead on him with a wooden plank. Supergirl, with Soundproof Headphones on, snatched the wood away and Canary was wrapped in fence. Canary tried to barter freedom for a Birds of Prey T-Shirt, a promise to autograph Supergirl's cape and write a song about her. She pinned the blame on Magpie for suggesting the Batjet would be good for their tour. Bumblebee chided her for making a bad decision based on peer pressure. Harley heard enough and stuffed a corn cob in Canary's mouth. The Smallville Special Crimes Unit took them into custody.
Black Canary took a long hard look at her life and decided never to get involved with criminals anymore. She couldn't live like that anymore and needed to make some big changes. Canary released a new debut solo album titled "The Canary Cries". She did an autographing session at a Super-Buy in downtown Metropolis but the store was invaded by artwork animated by June Moone's Magic Paint. Katana arrived and accused Canary of colluding with the drawings. Canary explained how she reformed then a drawing of Bumblebee stole several of her albums. Canary yelled they were $15 each. A fan grabbed a drone and flew it at the drawing. It dropped the albums. After Canary gathered them up, she volunteered to help out however she could. Katana accepted. They found drawings of Batgirl and Supergirl playing a racing video game. On Katana's mark, Canary unleashed her Canary Cry on them. Batgirl was tied up in AV cables while Katana made the Supergirl listen to a recording of the Canary Cry on repeat.
Black Canary entrusted her unsold CD albums to her fan and instructed her to get them somewhere safe while she helped Wonder Woman, Bumblebee, and Katana. Katana didn't like her priorities. Canary insisted her music would be needed more than ever if Enchantress plunged the world into a post-apocalyptic existence. The girls did their heroic statements as they left Super Buy. Canary improvised and declared Enchantress' ears would hurt when she was done with her. Katana folded her arms in disapproval. Canary pointed out it was her first day as a hero. They met up with Beast Boy, Starfire, and Cyborg at Super Hero High and observed the animated art on the move to take down Enchantress down, too. Canary shared when she was in high school, they taught the enemy of my enemy is an ally. Wonder Woman forged an alliance with the animated Harley. Canary tried to attack the animated Starro with her Canary Cry but it didn't have any ears. At the conclusion of the battle, Canary told Katana the limelight was calling. She admitted being a hero was pretty cool. Katana told her she could help them out anytime.
(Novels only) Black Canary is a student who participated in the karaoke contest during the 100th Annual Super Triathlon with Green Arrow. They were the crowd favorites.
