Syria is a country in the Middle East. Siracca and her mother lived in Syria but were forced to leave because of war. They boarded a boat filled with refugees and crossed the Mediterranean Sea for Greece. A storm hit and Siracca used her powers for the first time to prevent catastrophe but the others thought she was cursed.
