Hawkgirl spent a summer break in Honduras and participated in the Casa Blanca dig. Halfway through the summer, Batgirl contacted Hawkgirl for help looking into the stolen Golden Olive Branch and Shield of Ares. She took a break and did some research on the artifacts then conferenced with Batgirl and Katana. Hawkgirl discovered the branch could render the shield and its invulnerability granting powers useless like the Amulet of Harmonia. Hawkgirl later discovered a third thing, Philia, could combat the shield. She quickly returned to Metropolis.
