The Wonder Shield was an Amazonian weapon Wonder Woman brought along with her to Super Hero High School. She presented it to Principal Waller as a gift upon her arrival. On Supergirl's first day, Wonder Woman used the shield in a battle against Killer Croc. About a week later, Barbara Gordon finished making repairs and modifications to the Wonder Shield. She returned it to Wonder Woman and asked for help with training Supergirl. During a response to a Save the Day alarm, Wonder Woman discovered the modification was a laser blaster option. She blew up a car used by Giganta as a weapon. The heroes rallied and took down Giganta. Wonder Woman applied the finishing blow and blasted Giganta in the face. She later used the shield in battle against the Female Fury Artemiz by deflecting her arrows. As a result, Artemiz was pinned to the side of a building.
The Wednesday night before the annual Hero of the Year gala, Big Barda went around the school checking where her classes were located. Wonder Woman, Bumblebee, Supergirl, and Batgirl thought she was still a villain and attacked her. Wonder Woman mentioned she would be taken back to Belle Reve Juvenile Detention. Big Barda panicked and swung her Mega Rod, breaking the Wonder Shield. The damage was too extensive for Batgirl to repair so Wonder Woman set up a trip to Themyscira the next day in order to ask the Master Alchemist for help. The Master Alchemist considered it an honor and quickly repaired it by the time Wonder Woman's friends took a tour of the palace. Wonder Woman used the shield to defend Super Hero High from Trigon's fire blasts. She also later used the shield to deflect Darkseid's Omega Effect beams.
