Shock Sticks are implements used by Coach Wildcat during P.E. class when there is a relay race. They are passed from teammate to teammate in lieu of regular batons as an added incentive to run fast. They are specially calibrated, if the person holding it slows down, stops, or complains, they are zapped. If the team finishes the course in the allotted time, they are instructed to throw their Shock Stick in the defusing bin where they deactivate. Distracted by threatening anonymous messages, Wonder Woman turned a sharp corner and accidentally bumped into her opponent Cheetah who landed on some rocks and broke her leg. The dropped Shock Sticks set off a mega shock wave that caused an avalanche. Wonder Woman flew Cheetah to safety.
