The Mother Box is a small but advanced sentient supercomputer created on Apokolips. It can do anything from coordinating Boom Tubes teleportation to energy manipulation. While undercover on Earth, Granny Goodness infiltrated Super Hero High School and took the position of head librarian. She secretly used the Mother Box to send encrypted messages back to Apokolips. After manipulating Supergirl into gaining her access to the school's Boom Tubes, Granny brought her Female Furies to Earth. She then used her Mother Box to channel the power of the Amethyst to increase her power and control the students and faculty of Super Hero High. It jumped onto her palm like a spider once Granny beckoned it forth. Granny's pet Parademon Perry affixed the Mother Box onto the Amethyst. On her word, the Mother Box emitted a frequency that placed almost everyone in a trance state. Batgirl managed to plant her De-Trancer on the Mother Box thanks to Vice Principal Grodd taking an arrow for her. It worked and everyone was freed from Granny's hold.
During an escape from Belle Reve Penitentiary, Lashina tossed her Mother Box to Stompa and had her open a Boom Tube to Apokolips.
