The mythological Golden Fleece ended up as one of Ares' most treasured possessions. After an incident on Themyscira, the Amulet of Harmonia was placed on Ares to put him in a perpetual state of peace. He decided to give the Golden Fleece to Wonder Woman as a peace offering. He traveled to Metropolis and found her in the Capes & Cowls Cafe. He presented the fleece to her. After the Amulet of Harmonia was stolen by Catwoman, Ares went on a rampage. Wonder Woman later retrieved the Golden Fleece as part of a plan to lure Ares away from the city. She wore it and thanked Ares for it. Ares yelled it was his and retorted she wasn't worthy of it. She and Supergirl tossed it to each other as they tricked Ares into following them. The fleece was stored in a vault under Super Hero High.
