Superman is one of the greatest super heroes and protectors of Earth. He was sent to Earth as an infant just as his home planet of Krypton exploded. Jonathan and Martha Kent discovered him in Smallville and raised him as their son. He discovered his super powers and honed them. In his teen years, he attended Super Hero High School and garnered many accolades. He holds the record for the fastest, most efficient Save the Day in school history and is considered Super Hero High's greatest student. A statue was erected in his honor and is located in Centennial Park just outside of Super Hero High. Superman recovered the Bottled City of Kandor from Brainiac's lair and, on Earth Day, left it in Supergirl's locker with a note asking to take care of it.

(Novels only) In the present, Superman currently attends college and Semester in Space keeps him busy. Wonder Woman is the student who has gotten the closest to Superman's Save the Day record. He attended the 100th annual Super Triathlon. Harley Quinn managed to get a chance to briefly interview him. Superman commented he was cheering for his alma mater and admitted he heard this year's team was the best ever. Around the same time, Kara Zor-El arrived on Earth. Superman's senses detected Kara's space craft crashing into Earth's atmosphere and he rescued her. Superman brought her to live with his family, the Kents. She learned Superman arrived on Earth almost 20 years before her. Before he told her more, Superman advised Kara she needed to adjust to life on Earth and get used to having super powers. He assured her she was in good hands and flew away. Four weeks later, she began attending Super Hero High.
