Princess Amethyst is a hero of Gemworld who united the 12 Houses. A planned coup by Dark Opal and Eclipso was discovered and they fled from a castle into the forest below. By Amethyst's order, soldiers pursued them. In a bid for ultimate power, Eclipso admitted she was using mind control on Opal so that he could remain royal sorcerer and further study ancient texts. Amethyst captured Eclipso in a crystal but fell for their act. By the power of the 12 Houses of Gemworld, Amethyst banished Eclipso through an interdimensional portal for the crime of treason.
