Parasite is a janitor at Super Hero High School. The students makes a lot of messes and he often wonders, "If they're so super, why can't they clean up after themselves?" On Supergirl's first day, she crashed into the cafeteria. Parasite surveyed the damage as the students and faculty did damage control. He was distraught. After Granny Goodness, the Female Furies, and Perrys were boomed to Belle Reve, Parasite groaned at the sight of the damage to the main building. On the Thursday before the Hero of the Year gala, Parasite was picking up trash on the campus grounds. Before he could sweep some up, Bumblebee blasted the pile while being interviewed by Lois Lane. The night of the gala, several Shadow Demons knocked over his cart while on their way to cripple the school's electricity. Parasite relaxed on the lawn with a tropical drink while Cheetah did his duties as punishment for stealing Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth. He did a fist bump with Principal Waller's bot.
Wonder Woman and Bumblebee ventured into the halls to get their Physical Education partner project from the cafeteria after curfew. They heard Parasite whistling and hid in a locker until he passed. Parasite mistook the Bottled City of Kandor and threw it into the trash compactor. Supergirl flew past him into the compactor. For Career Day, Wonder Woman was assigned to shadow Parasite. Harley Quinn tried to jump over the wet floor as they mopped but she slipped on wet paint on the lockers, fell into Parasite's cart, and crashed into a wall. As they raked trash outside, Wonder Woman realized no one notices janitors much. She realized the Lady Justice statue was broken in pieces and panicked. To her surprise, Parasite pushed a button and a compartment rose with several Lady Justice statues. As they walked through the maintanence halls under the school, they overheard Gorilla Grodd in distress. Wonder Woman jumped through a vent and defeated Artemiz. Wonder Woman thanked Parasite, told him she learned how important he was, looked at a pile of debris, then backed away smiling.
(Novels only) A former criminal, Parasite was granted parole but he was forbidden to use his powers, to drain others of their powers, ever again. Although Parasite hated cleaning up after teenagers, he knew it was better than prison where many of his cronies went. Still, he doesn't enjoy Waffle Wednesdays much and often keeps a mop in hand in anticipation of eating contests. In addition to the cafeteria, he also cleans up the science lab a lot after Poison Ivy's experiments go wrong. Parasite came to know a lot about the history of Super Hero High and its underground tunnel system. After starting out at Super Hero High, Wonder Woman tried cleaning up the dining hall but Katana informed her there was staff to take care of it. She later returned to the dining hall and tried to help the janitorial staff. Parasite implored her to return to her studies but appreciated the offer.
During Granny's takeover, Parasite fought off Speed Queen with his broom and mop while Frost froze his mop water to trip her up. He was promoted to Executive Janitor. Parasite told Katana about the school's history then later helped out in a series of Save the Day drills, pretending to be in trouble. He nearly drowned, on account of not knowing how to swim, but Hawkgirl and Katana rescued him. During the Dragon King's invasion, Parasite grabbed his tail and drained him so Katana could get her sword back. Parasite was overcome in a blissful coma then fell motionless to the ground. Hawkgirl flew Parasite to Metropolis General Hospital. Parasite was prepared to go back to jail for using his powers but Commissioner Gordon informed him he was getting an honorary commendation from the city and earned an extra week of vacation. Parasite and Miss Martian did a perfect polka for Harley's Dance-O-Rama. Parasite took great control to dance and keep his powers in check at the same time. He was out of breath by the end.
Parasite glimpsed the weather manipulation class in the Weaponomics room and grumbled, knowing who would be cleaning up the mess. For a natural disaster themed Save the Day drill, Cyborg, Star Sapphire, and Frost went to the Swiss Alps to rescue Parasite from an avalanche.
