Liberty Belle is a superhero turned teacher at Super Hero High School. She is known for her Heroes Throughout History course and for writing the book "The History of Heroes". An unabridged version is kept at Super Hero High's library. Liberty Belle took her Intro to Prehistory class on a field trip to the Jurassic Era aboard the school's time machine school bus. She took permission slips as each student boarded the bus but Harley Quinn was in a rush not to miss the bus and ran right into Liberty. Harley gathered up all the slips and returned them to her. Liberty hoped the trip would be exciting and educational for everyone but reiterated rule number one was no one leaves the bus. She activated the Non-Interference Shield and set course for the Jurassic Era. Unable to handle the bus like her Model T car, Liberty handed the wheel over to Batgirl who just aced her Evasive Maneuvering Test when a pack of Allosaurus charged.
Things got complicated when a Diplodocus smashed the bus in half then knocked the front half across the jungle inadvertently with its tail. Liberty Belle was carried off by a Pterodactyl. She was tied up in vines and left in a nest with the Pterodactyl's eggs. After Batgirl repaired the bus, she spotted one of Liberty's red gloves. They heard Liberty call out for help from up top. Batgirl fired a grapnel line. She and Harley freed Liberty. Back in the bus, Liberty took the wheel again. She set the Time Machine to the future and charged it up while the students fought off the swarm of Pterodactyls. Once everyone was back on the bus, Liberty made the jump into the time vortex and they returned to the present. Liberty remarked she didn't have as much fun since Calvin Coolidge was in office and went off to fill an incident report for Principal Waller. However, they returned to an alternate timeline. Two months prior, that timeline's Liberty Belle was expelled from Savage High for orchestrating a coup against Principal Vandal Savage.
Liberty Belle immediately triggered the Anti-Savage Insurgent alarm and was captured by alternate versions of Cheetah and Star Sapphire. She was taken to insurgent detention. Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Beast Boy, Katana, and Ivy had the alternate Bumblebee lead them to insurgent detention and release Miss Belle. Cheetah sighted Ivy on her phone's screen and their operation was a bust. Star Sapphire ordered them to surrender of they would boom Belle into the Phantom Zone. Wonder Woman's team freed Liberty Belle. She made her way to the bus and went to work on fixing the wiring. She saw Katana and Wildcat's battle getting a little too close for comfort and yelled at them to watch the paint job. Once the supers all boarded the bus, Liberty informed Wonder Woman that Bumblebee was correct - she couldn't come with them per the rules of time travel. Liberty did cite once the rift in time was healed, the new timeline would cease to exist and both Bumblebees would merge. Liberty made the jump back to the Jurassic Era. Once Batgirl and Harley returned Bitey to its nest, Liberty took everyone back to the restored present.
(Novels only) Hippolyta is a personal favorite historical figure of Belle's and she read every myth and legend ever written about her. For one of Bumblebee's Hero of the Month videoes, Liberty Belle commented she had a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Wonder Woman turned a history assignment in early but Liberty Belle informed her it was missing and gave her a zero. Liberty Belle was in charge of preparing the team of students selected for the 100th Annual Super Triathlon for the academic portion. Around the time Supergirl started her first semester, Liberty Belle assigned her students to compile family histories for Parents' Night. She revealed to Supergirl the family trees would help everyone remember and honor those they have lost and to inspire everyone to move forward. The next project she assigned was a Legacy project for students to study their past and relate it to the present and forecast their future all to know their place in the world.
Liberty Belle decided to expand her class on natural disasters into a full-fledged project. She was looking forward to Bumblebee's after her partner Beast Boy claimed they had a plan to battle tornadoes. For a natural disaster themed Save the Day drill, Liberty Belle went hiking in the middle of an earthquake at Red Rocks and was saved by Flash, Cheetah, and Katana.
