Trigon is an evil demon who rules the Underworld. For centuries, Etrigan terrorized Earth from Athens to Troy in Trigon's name. Etrigan encountered Homer and was deeply moved by "The Odyssey" so much that he renounced his wicked ways then went into hiding. Etrigan was branded a traitor.

Cyborg and Starfire responded to Trigon's attack on Metropolis at the Centennial Park. After saving a mother and daughter from Etrigan's fiery eye blast, Cyborg and Starfire used teammork to save the day. Cyborg blasted him in the butt with his sonic cannon. In a rage, Trigon ripped a tree from its roots and threw it. Cyborg punched the tree to Starfire. She hammered Trigon into the ground. They took turns blasting him. Eventually, Trigon made his way out of the ground but Cyborg and Starfire did not let up. Trigon capitulated and teleported back to the Underworld. Not knowing anything of his past, June Moone sent out invitations to Etrigan's suprise birthday party across the universe. Trigon sent demons to Super Hero High School to capture Etrigan and take him back to the Underworld. Etrigan was imprisoned and Trigon vowed he would pay for his crimes against the Underworld.

Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Miss Martian, Katana, Beast Boy, and Bumblebee mounted a rescue operation and went to the Underworld through the Portal Coffee Shop's portal. After they eavesdropped on a conversation between Trigon and some of his subjects, the supers met Raven, Trigon's daughter. They learned Trigon had Raven homeschooled and wanted her to follow in his criminal foot steps. Raven and Trigon didn't see eye to evil eye. She found evil pretty boring and helped the supers find the path to Etrigan. Trigon was angered the supers trespassed in the Underworld and planned to free Etrigan. He fired blasts of flame from his fingertip. As Princess of Themyscira, Wonder Woman demanded Etrigan's release. Trigon stated the Underworld was out of her jurisdiction and imprisoned everyone for all eternity in cages of fire, or so he thought, then left to attend a feast. Miss Martian was scared invisible and was not placed in a cage. She freed everyone. They were chased by several demons who vowed Trigon would never forget.

Principal Waller sent Etrigan through a Boom Tube to a safe location until she officially worked out a treaty with Trigon. Everyone was surprised by Waller's plan but she stated she had her methods in dealing with supervillains. She found him to be a piece of work. Wonder Woman later used Trigon as a villain in her comic book project for June Moone's art class. Poison Ivy and Batgirl encountered Trigon in Centennial Park while trying out their stealth suits. They narrowly avoided Trigon's eye blasts while making a retreat. Some time later, Trigon had another home school session with Raven. He gave her a new magic spell to practice, Azarath Metrion Zinthos. Raven struggled to create a portal and asked why she couldn't learn something else like reading, geography, and Quantum Physics. Trigon emphasized Underworldians did magic and she must follow in his footsteps. Raven declared she hated magic but Trigon was oblivious. She was unaware the spell was to open a portal to Metropolis and her attempts were causing lava eruptions in the city.

Trigon demonstrated the spell and created a portal then left for his chambers. He assigned to keep practicing until she could open her own portal. Raven had enough and decided to go to Metropolis instead of practicing and jumped through his portal. Trigon eventually found the note left by Raven and got angry. He arrived on the surface in a rage and yelled out for Raven. Trigon grounded her for an eternity. Supergirl interjected and insisted she was just trying to be a hero. Trigon became angrier and grounded her to two eternities. Raven flew towards Trigon and told him he was embarrassing her in front of everyone. Trigon insisted she belonged in the Underworld and ordered her back. Raven stated she wanted to stay and attend Super Hero High. Trigon was even more insulted and threw fire blasts at the campus. On Waller's order, the supers went to their stations and defended the school. Raven tried using magic but only spread the fire. Batgirl arrived and fired a grapnel at one of his boots then drove around and tied his legs together.

Supergirl pushed against a horn and forced Trigon on his back. He grabbed Batgirl then Supergirl and was irate they dared to interfere with his family. Raven tried to get him to back down and promised to go back to the Underworld. Trigon refused to leave until Super Hero High and its heroes paid for the insult. Trigon told Batgirl and Supergirl they were bad influences on his daughter. Supergirl fired her heat vision at his hand and got Batgirl free then she muscled herself free, as well. Trigon raised more lava and the streets outside Super Hero High raised up. Supergirl implored Raven to use her magic to take him back to the Underworld. Raven wasn't sure and stated her magic came from Trigon's side of the family and was pure evil. Supergirl countered Super Hero High taught powers weren't good or evil and it was a person's choice. She told Raven she could be like her dad or forge her own path. Raven understood and was about to spell cast but Batgirl arrived with her own plan. She switched her hologram on the Batcycle for Raven's.

Trigon opened fire but was at a stalemate against Star Sapphire and Green Lantern Hal Jordan's combined energies. The Raven hologram appeared and declared she was going to start a charity and commit random acts of kindness. Trigon took the bait and chased after her, demanding her to get back. Batgirl gave Raven the signal and she cast her spell. A portal opened at the 3500 block intersection right under Trigon and pulled him back to the Underworld. Raven declared she wasn't going to let him destroy the school. Trigon was elated she made her first underworld portal. Raven added it was all thanks to her new friends, Supergirl and Batgirl, but resigned herself to returning to the Underworld with him. Trigon realized Raven already mastered more magic at Super Hero High than in all the years of home school and permitted her to stay at Super Hero High. He ordered her to learn as much as she could then they would destroy the world together someday. Trigon was soon made head of the PTA wrapping paper fundraiser. Commissioner Gordon handed him a roll but it disintegrated in his hand. Trigon declared he hated fundraisers.

Trigon attended the tree lighting ceremony at Super Hero High during the winter season. However, he made a fiery entrance in the mail hall's skating rink instead of using the front door and startled the supers. Raven cleared things up. To make it up to her, Trigon lit the Christmas Tree. However, he took it literally and lit it on fire. Luckily, Mera and Poison Ivy used their abilities to restore the tree.
