Lashina is a member of Apokolips' Female Furies. She is a master of electrified metal bands that she uses as whips. During Spring Break, Lashina planned to boom to Belle Reve Penitentiary and break out the other Furies. Super Hero High School intercepted her plans. Principal Waller was certain the Furies would try to enact revenge on Super Hero High. As part of her Task Force X class, Waller gave Frost and Katana a special assignment to guard Belle Reve. Sure enough, Lashina boomed to Belle Reve but in her tank. She rammed the side of a building several times and breached it. She ran inside and tied up a prison guard named Brian in an office. Once Frost and Katana entered the building, she took over the p.a. and announced she put an Agony Matrix on Brian. They would have two minutes to save Brian. Big Barda overheard and offered her expertise in disabling the matrix. Katana freed Barda. They found Brian but Lashina freed Stompa and Mad Harriet in the meantime.

Frost waited at the breach. Lashina ordered Stompa and Harriet to get Frost out their way. Frost neutralized them with her ice attacks. Lashina leaped over Frost's blast and latched her whip on one of Frost's arms then electrocuted her. Katana, Barda, and Brian were on their way. With little time, Lashina went back into her tank and retreated. Frost and Katana told Waller about Barda's role and she was soon accepted as a transfer to Super Hero High. Later in the summer, Lashina posed as a criminal called the Cloaked Shadow in order to infiltrate Belle Reve undetected. Batgirl and Hawkgirl captured her, unaware of her true identity, and transported her to Belle Reve in the Batty Wagon. They cleared the front door scanner and were greeted by Commissioner Gordon. Lashina revealed herself and fired a poison dart into Commissioner Gordon's right arm. Hawkgirl disarmed Lashina of her whip then pinned her to a wall. Lashina gave them a cryptic clue about the antidote being hidden at the one place in Metropolis that reminded her most of home.

Lashina was free to liberate her comrades while Batgirl and Hawkgirl left to look for the antidote. The Furies exited the building, leaving a giant hole in their wake. Lashina tossed her Mother Box to Stompa and ordered her to open a Boom Tube. They returned to Apokolips.

Lashina was part of the team of Furies who broke into Principal Waller's office and stole something top secret from her vault. Before they could get away, Wonder Woman confronted them. Lashina snagged Wonder Woman's legs with her whip and tossed her into the main building. Wonder Woman pursued the Furies but Lashina overturned a water tower. Wonder Woman still found them but was soon overpowered. Katana came to her rescue. Wonder Woman captured her with the Lasso of Truth and tied her to a pillar.
