Principal Waller went on a date with Floyd Lawton in downtown Metropolis one night. She was smitten with getting flowers and noticed he smelled like kettle corn and caramel apples. He admitted he was handing out treats at the children's hospital. She remarked he was sweeter than cotton candy. He kissed her hand. The next day, as Deadshot, he breached Batgirl's Batbunker and took her hostage. Bette Sans Souci couldn't get Commissioner Gordon to give her a tour of the Weaponomics Vault. She reckoned they would have to do it the hard way. Deadshot stepped forward with Batgirl as his hostage. Gordon complied and opened up the vault. Batgirl reached for her belt but Sans Souci gave her a warning explosion. Deadshot was amazed there was still an Apokoliptian Agony Matrix still left on Earth. Once they pillaged the vault, Sans Souci locked Batgirl and Gordon in a vault with a time bomb to buy them time to escape.

Harley Quinn, Frost, and Katana happened to be setting up for the spring dance and got in the way of their escape route. Frost froze them but Sans Souci exploded. Deadshot threw out the Multi-Blast Shocker for cover. While Plastique went into the Daily Planet, Deadshot took a position on the roof across the street. Several Supers arrived but Batgirl noticed the Agony Matrix was affixed to the front doors. Deadshot ordered them to stand down or he would open fire. Harley tried to call his bluff but she was electrocuted by him. Katana, Frost, and Flash split off to get Deadshot. Katana deflected Deadshot's blast with her katana while Flash ran up from behind and stripped him of his gauntlet blasters then Frost froze him in place. The trio escorted Deadshot to the Special Crimes Unit.
