Cheshire is a deadly assassin. For an Advanced Stakeouts class group project, Harley Quinn and Lady Shiva were paired up as partners. They scanned Metropolis from a roof top well into the night. Harley got bored and started entertaining herself, which caught Cheshire's attention. She sneaked up behind them and perched atop the stairwell access roof until Harley spotted her with Shiva's binoculars. Cheshire remarked she thought Harley was funny and slashed at them. Harley and Shiva descended and quickly made their way back up but Cheshire had hidden herself. Harley was still annoyed and dared Shiva to tell a joke. As Shiva told a knock knock joke, Cheshire sneaked up behind Harley. Shiva made Harley duck then punched Cheshire out with one hit. The Special Crimes Unit took Cheshire into custody. Around the start of summer break, Cheshire was captured by Wonder Woman, Bumblebee, Batgirl, and Supergirl. She found the situation pathetic.
In the spring, Batgirl pursued Cheshire into an alley and threw a Batarang. She leaped over it and taunted Batgirl she was so predictable then launched a kick. Batgirl elbowed her in the gut but she threw a sai and pinned Batgirl's hood to the brick building. Cheshire thought of her new manicure, poison apple red. Batgirl eventually defeated her and turned her over to the authorities. One night, Chesire crashed into and sabotaged a power sub-station, causing a city-wide blackout. Ivy confronted her atop a vine. Cheshire threw her wrench but the vine caught it. Cheshire tried a jump kick but a second vine came through the street and grabbed her leg. Wonder Woman snapped photos for the upcoming yearbook. Hawkgirl, Batgirl, and Harley responded to a save the day alarm triggered by Cheshire at the docks one night. Cheshire was content with trying out her new poison on them.
Batgirl pinned her two henchmen to shipping containers with several Batarangs but Hawkgirl's Mace of Justice 2.0 hampered her in the field due to the large number of gadgets she was unaware of. One of Batgirl's wings was pinned to a container by a sword and Harley was netted. Hawkgirl took on Cheshire one-on-one. Cheshire easily dodged Hawkgirl and was amused with the modifications. She landed on a water tower and kept shooting her poison darts. Hawkgirl had enough and tore off the gadgets then hit the side of the tower. Cheshire fell off, then was doused in the tower's water and and trapped after it fell on top of her.
