The Animilitia is a team of supervillains formed by the Penguin to aid him in a years long plan to crash the Midas Heart into Gotham City and sift through the rubble for the asteroid's solid gold core. The Animilitia is made up of both freshman and veteran villains - Silverback, Man-Bat, Killer Croc, and Cheetah. They stole parts for Peguin's Cyber-Animals, such as Killer Croc robbing the Central City Copper Quarry, and helping plant 12 force field transmitters around the Aviary, Penguin's luxory tower. Towards the tail end of the transmitter mission, Batman and his allies uncovered the scheme.
The entire Animilitia went to the Gotham Zoo to plant the last transmitter. They split up and fought Batman, Red Robin, Nightwing, Green Arrow, and the Flash. The last transmitter was planted and they regrouped at Bumbershoot Mechanics, where they fought the heroes once more. Man-Bat was captured and Dr. Langstrom aided Batman's team with analyzing the Cyber-Animals. The rest of the Animilitia escaped again and completed the work on the tractor beam and force field at the Aviary. However, once the Flash took the force field down, Penguin abandoned the Animilitia. They tried to flee the building but were taken out by the hacked Blade Wolf Ace and Tiger Claw. Cheetah, Killer Croc, and Silverback were arrested.
