The Female Furies are the premiere elite warriors of Apokolips and serve Darkseid as his honor guard. Each member of the group was personally trained by Granny Goodness in a certain skill and programmed to kill without hesitation. Big Barda was their captain and trained the current roster of Gilotina, Lashina, Mad Harriet, and Stompa. Their signature strategy is to go for position and separate multiple combatants. When Barda fled Apokolips with her lover Mr. Miracle, a fruitless search for a replacement went on. Granny Goodness' latest candidate was Treasure but she was easily killed by the quartet. Darkseid then ordered Goodness to bring him Kara Zor-El to be the new captain. During the rescue mission, Big Barda and Wonder Woman played their roles and fought the Female Furies. Stompa was killed by Barda in the battle.
