Vance decided to reactivate digitized brain impulses of his grandfather for guidance. Instead, Robert Vance sought to kidnap his grandson and download his memory into him to live again. Terry McGinnis, armed with only the original utility belt and Nightwing mask, defeated him. Afterwards, Vance sold the company.
