Voiced By: T'Keyah Keymah

Allie Langford was a once a normal teenager and student at Dakota Union High School. A few years after the Big Bang, she suffered a delayed reaction and gained the power to mimic metal. However, Langford couldn't control it and attempted to conceal it with makeup and heavy layers of clothing. Desperate for a cure, Langford found a wesbite of a clinic called Bang Baby Outreach. She set up a email and frequently conversed with the site's webhosts. She studied maps of Gotham City and planned to secretly travel there. But after shattering a basketball backboard, she drew much attention. Virgil Hawkins and Richie Foley found her maps and studied her online activity. Static pursued Langford to Gotham but was beaten by the clinic's owners, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. Ivy claimed she isolated a cure for the Bang Baby Syndrome but it was expensive to manufacture. Langford agreed to steal for them as Nails, after her ability to emit her nails as metal projectiles.

The trio attacked a federal gold transport near Gotham Bay on the night of a full moon. Nails soon found out the cure was a fake, nail polish. The villains disposed of her by knocking her overboard. Because of the sheer weight from being in metal form, she would drown and sink to the bottom. Luckily, the Batwing appeared and pulled her back to the transport's deck. Nails was about to kill the both of them but Static convinced her to spare them. She returned to Dakota and was selected for a Wayne Industries-sponsored program to test an experimental treatment. If all went well, she would lose her metal affliction completely. Soon enough, Nails mastered the ability to change her form back and forth. It is unknown if the program was a success or if Dr. Todd's antidote later cured her.
