Mrs. Price was originally Mrs. McCall but later remarried and moved to her second husband's residence in the Fenton Projects of Dakota City with her son Dwayne McCall. Like most of the residents of Dakota, Mrs. Price was concerned and scared by the surge of metahumans after the Big Bang but was unaware her son was one of them. When Virgil Hawkins and Richie Foley posed as junior counselors from Freeman Community Center and visited her, she confided in them about her son. She revealed his inability to cope with remarriage and he was near the Big Bang.
