Mrs. Barnett is a resident of Dakota City and is the mother of Derek Barnett, a student-athlete at Dakota Union High School. She pressured him to raise his grades and after he disappeared for four days, Mrs. Barnett thought she was the reason. Static relayed these feelings to Derek Barnett and convinced him to leave the Meta-Breed. Mother and son were reunited and she supported his decision to volunteer for Bang Baby research.
